Dennis Hof, Famous Brothel Owner, Dead at 72

Dennis Hof, a world famous brothel owner and reality television personality, was found dead Tuesday at his often-frequented Love Ranch in Nevada.

He was 72 years old.

Dennis Hof

A Republican candidate for the state Assembly in a southern Nevada district, Hof reportedly died in his sleep just hours after a celebration that featured pornography star Ron Jeremy... former Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio ... and anti-tax activist Grover Norquist.

This news was confirmed by Hof's campaign manager, Chuck Muth.

Jeremy, the best known porn star on the planet, actually found Hof's body early on Tuesday.

Hof formerly anchored the series Cathouse, which aired on HBO and which chronicled life at his sex-laden residence.

However, he recently made national headlines after earning a primary victory over a three-term Republican in a rural district in Southern Nevada.

The Nye County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday that it was investigating Hof’s death.

“We had a wonderful event last night, Muth told the Reno Gazette Journal. “He was having the time of his life.

In the celebrity gossip universe, Hof was perhaps best known for running the brothel at which Lamar Odom suffered a near-fatal overdose in 2015.

Speaking to NPR earlier this year, Hof was unabashed about his work as a legal pimp, along with his political aspirations.

"Dennis Hof is the Trump of Pahrump," he said, outlining the way people spoke about him in the most populous town in the district and adding of himself:

"He's rich, he's famous, he's got nerves of steel. He likes hot girls."

muth tweet

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported a few months ago, however, that numerous former prostitutes had accused Hof of sexual assault.

The cases were never prosecuted and, according to USA Today, Hof denied the allegations.

Hof posted bail for Liberace’s former lover, Scott Thorson, in 2013, after Thorson took up residence at the Bunny Ranch.

He also hosted a “Get My Grandpa Laid" contest on the Howard Stern show later that year, often doing these sorts of explicit publicity stunts in order to stay in the news.

As for his unexpected candiacy?

“It’s all because Donald Trump was the Christopher Columbus for me, Hof said of why he won his primary. “He found the way, and I jumped on it.

And Hof could actually still win the seat for which he was running.

hoffy

Ballots for the November 6 election have already been printed.

Outlets say that notices of Hof's death will be posted at the polls.

If he should win, according to a spokesman for the Nevada secretary of state, the seat would be considered vacant.

Commissioners from the three counties in the district would then appoint another Republican to the position.

“This is not anything that I would have ever guessed would happen, said Hof's Democratic opponent, Lesia Romanov.

“My heart goes out to those who care about him. Just a crazy turn of events."

Deven Davis: How Did Korn Frontman’s Wife Die?

In August, Deven Davis, wife of Korn frontman Jonathan Davis, was found dead.

This was a tragedy for her family and for her loved ones.

Now, her heartbreaking cause of death has been revealed.

Jonathan Davis, Wife

On August 18, Deven Davis passed away. She was only 39 years old.

According to autopsy results obtained by TMZ, the cause of death was five different drugs in her system.

The report says that Deven had cocaine, heroin, clonazepam, topiramate, and fluoxetine in her system.

Cocaine and heroin are both illegal, and are very different drugs.

The others are another matter.

Deven Davis

Clonazepam is a fairly tame benzodiazepine that can be used to treat anxiety.

Topiramate has a few uses, one of the most common to reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine headaches.

Flueoxetine is a fairly standard serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Most people know this medication as Prozac.

The cause of death was ruled accidental.

The medical examiner's office believes that the lethal combination of drugs was an unintentional tragedy.

Jonathan Davis spoke out on Instagram several days after her passing.

Jonathan Davis IG statement on wife's death

"Over the last few days," he wrote at the time. "There has been a lot of speculation over what really happened surrounding the death of my wife, Deven."

He continued: "and I want my voice to be heard."

"Over the past decade, my wife has been very very sick," he revealed.

He explained: "She had a serious mental illness and her addiction was a side effect."

"I loved her with ALL of my being," Jonathan gushed. "When she was her true self, she was an amazing wife, amazing mother and amazing friend."

"She was full of life and joy, and she would do anything to share that with those around her," he wrote.

Jonathan Davis

Jonathan admitted that he had "tried to hide what was going on."

He shared that he did this "in order to protect her."

"She is the reason I have advocated so hard for those struggling with their mental health," he explained.

"I want her story to inspire people to reach out for help," Jonathan wrote. "And not to be afraid or hide from their illness."

"If you know someone with a mental illness," he implored. "Have compassion and empathy, and know that they are not bad people, they are suffering."

korn singer

Jonathan shared that, as a facet of her illness, the mother of two of his three sons never understood "how sick she really was."

"I’d give anything to have the chance to hold her again," Jonathan confessed.

"I’d give anything for my kids to have their mother back," he wrote.

Jonathan said: "I have comfort in knowing that now she has found freedom from her illness, and she is finally at peace."

"I swear one day I’ll be there with you by your side when my ride here on earth is over," he concluded. "I love you, Luber."

That is devastating and must have been incredibly difficult to write, especially just days after her tragic passing.

We hope that his fans and followers will listen to his heartfelt message.

Scott Wilson, a veteran actor of the small screen and big screen, has passed away from complications related to Leukemia.

He was 76 years old.

Scott Wilson

Wilson had an extensive resume to his name at the time of his death, one that included well over 50 movie credits.

But he's likely best known at this point for his long-running role on The Walking Dead of Hershel Greene.

In both the comic books on which the AMC drama is based, along with television series itself, Hershel was introduced by saving the life of Carl Grimes, the son of Rick Grimes, after the boy is shot by one of Hershel's neighbors.

During his stint on the program, Greene served as the moral center of his group of survivors.

He added that Wilson was "a national treasure, a calm voice, and a gentle spirit to everyone who came in contact with him."

Cristy Caserta, a woman who vied for the heart of Brad Womack on The Bachelor Season 15, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday after suffering an apparent seizure.

She was 38 years old.

Cristy Caserta

According to law enforcement officials, per TMZ, Caserta was attending a class at a school in Sunrise, Florida when she suddenly fell forward at the desk where she was sitting.

Her alarmed classmates quickly dialed 911.

Tragically, however, Caserta went into cardiac arrest as the paramedics arrived and administered CPR.

She was transported to nearby Westside Regional Medical Center ... where they continued efforts to save her, but it was too late. She was pronounced dead not long after her arrival.

The police have said they don't suspect foul play and that no drugs were found in Caserta's system.

An autopsy will be performed Friday to determine the official cause of death.

This is what the Sunrise Police Department in Florida said about Caserta, who worked as an attorney:

“The students around her noticed her coffee fell to the ground and thought maybe she fell asleep, but she was unresponsive when they approached her.

"They called 911, and Fire Rescue showed up and started CPR and she was still unresponsive."

As mentioned above, Caserta was featured on Womack's second season as The Bachelor.

She was sent home during the first week.

Stephen Carbone, the blogger behind the Bachelor spoilers site Reality Steve, paid tribute to Caserta on Thursday night, writing:

In January, Caserta started a job working as a corporate lawyer for a healthcare staffing agency in Sunrise.

She had worked as a lawyer at a different company during her time on The Bachelor and was granted leave to appear on the series.

He ended up proposing to Emily Maynard, but they broke up a few months after the finale.

Neither Brad nor anyone associated with the show has commented yet on Caserta's death.

Bridalplasty Murder: Man Convicted of Killing Lisa Marie Naegle

In December of 2016, former Bridalplasty contestant Lisa Marie Naegle was found brutally murdered.

It has been nearly two years, but the murderer has been convicted.

He was the last man with whom she was seen alive.

Lisa Marie Naegle Image

People reports that a man named Jackie Jerome Rogers has been found guilty of Lisa Maria Naegle's appalling murder.

The court found that on the night of December 18, 2016, he murdered Naegle in his car.

Investigators believe that he killed her by striking her at least eight times with a hammer while the two of them were both in the vehicle.

He then buried her body in a shallow grave in his own backyard.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed the results of Rogers' trial.

Lisa Marie Naegle

Naegle and Rogers had been having an affair at the time.

Rogers was 34 and her former student.

Just hours before her grisly murder, the two attended a friend's birthday party at a restaurant in Torrance, California.

That, investigators discovered, was the last time that anyone but Rogers saw Naegle alive.

On Monday, September 24, Rogers was charged with First-Degree Murder.

Lisa Marie Naegle Photo

Though Naegle became famous for her role as a reality star contestant on Bridalplasty, in real life, she had a job.

She worked as a nurse.

When she did not show up for work the following, that set off alarm bells with her coworkers and family.

Friends attempted to file a missing person's report right away.

Unfortunately, they were told that they needed to wait 72 hours before an adult's absence became an emergency.

Lisa Marie Naegle Picture

As we now know, Naegle was already dead at the time.

Still, even before the police investigation began, friends and family had a lot of questions for Rogers.

He claimed to have left Naegle at the restaurant because he felt tired.

That did not add up.

Then, video surveillance showed that Naegle had left the restaurant with Rogers.

Naegle footage

Rogers changed his story, claiming to have dropped off Naegle at a gas station.

No one was buying it.

Rogers became visibly upset at this point.

It can seem cruel that it took nearly two years for Naegle's murderer to be convicted, but the justice system rarely moves swiftly.

We hope that this news gives her family the closure that they need.

Al Matthews Dies: Actor Famous for "Aliens" Role Was 75

Actor Al Matthews, best known for his memorable role in the film Aliens, has died.

The iconic actor had retired to Spain, which is where he passed away.

He was 75.

Al Matthews in Aliens

75-year-old Al Matthews passed away at his home, according to Spanish newspaper El Pais.

Matthews' home was located in Orihuela Costa, in the Spanish Mediterranean province of Alicante.

He had retired to Spain in 2005.

Responders found Matthews when a neighbor called emergency services.

An autopsy is expected for the late actor.

Al Matthews 02

Matthews is, of course, best known for his role as Gunnery Sergeant Apone in James Cameron's 1986 classic, Aliens.

In the science fiction film, he starred alongside living legend Sigourney Weaver.

He delivered a truly famous line.

"Alright sweethearts, what are you waiting for, breakfast in bed? A day in the Marine Corps is like a day on the farm," he said on screen.

The quote continues: "Every meal’s a banquet! Every paycheck a fortune! Every formation a parade! I love the corps!"

Al Matthews in 2016

That may have been Matthews' most famous role, but was far from the only one. In fact, he appeared in over 30 films.

Matthews portrayed a fire chief in Superman III.

He played General Tudor in the cult classic The Fifth Element.

He also enjoyed success in the United Kingdom, where he had a role on the UK series, Grange Hill.

And speaking of his work across the pond, in 1975, his song, "Fool," reached #16 on the UK Singles chart.

Despite his retirement, Matthews reprised his legendary role as Sgt. Apone in the 2013 video game, Aliens: Colonial Marines.

Al Matthews 04

Perhaps part of what made Matthews' role in Aliens so iconic and powerful -- aside from his acting skills -- was that he had been a real life marine in Vietnam.

"I spent six years in the United States Marine Corps;" Matthews shared on his personal website. "I hold thirteen combat awards and decorations, including two purple hearts."

He reveals: "I was the first black Marine in the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam to be meritoriously promoted to the rank of sergeant."

That is one hell of an achievement.

His website blurb concludes: "I served with Kilo Battery, Fourth Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division, of that I am very proud."

Rest in peace, Al Matthews.

Mac Miller: Will His Friends Face Criminal Charges?

It's been nearly a week since rapper Mac Miller passed away after suffering a drug overdose at his San Fernando Valley home.

Though authorities have yet to determine Miller's cause of death, all signs seem to indicate that he finally succumbed to the substance abuse issues that had plagued him throughout his life.

Mac Miller Tribute

Small amounts of powdery white substances believed to be drugs in the opioid family were reportedly found in Miller's home.

And a 911 call seemed to indicate that panicked friends of Miller were had little doubt as to the cause of his condition.

The fact that he was not alone at the time of his death combined with the revelation that Miller had been dead for several hours before authorities arrived led to rumors that there would be an investigation as a result of possible foul play.

For now, however, it looks as though police are treating Miller's death as a tragic accident.

Mac Miller Pic

“This is strictly a Coroner’s Office case at this time,” Sgt. Barry Montgomery, a spokesman for the LAPD, told Radar Online.

“As far as we are concerned, we are not investigating it as a criminal activity.”

Officially, the cause of Miller's death is labeled as "deferred" pending the results of a toxicology report.

Fans have expressed shock over the fact that there will be no investigation, as early reports about Miller's final hours seemed to indicate a chaotic scene.

And for many, the length of time between when the rapper died and when his body was found suggested criminal negligence.

Witnesses told police that a group consisting mostly of young men was “coming in and out all night" in the hours before Miller's death, breaking bottles and engaging in other destructive acts.

Sources claim several people left the home in a hurry just before police arrived.

“They seemed in a rush to go,” claimed one onlooker.

Sadly, many who knew Miller best were not surprised by his tragic passing.

Miller's substance abuse issues were a major factor in his recent breakup with Ariana Grande, and she was one of many who implored him to get sober.

On Wednesday, Miller's body was shipped from Los Angeles to Pittsburgh so that he could be laid to rest in his hometown.

Our thoughts go out to Mac Miller's loved ones during this difficult time.

Mac Miller Dies; Rapper and Ex-Boyfriend of Ariana Grande Was 26

Shocking news out of the music world today, as TMZ reported moments ago that Mac Miller has passed away

The widely-acclaimed hip hop artist, whose real name was Malcolm James McCormick, was just 26 years old.

Mac Miller Image

Though details about Miller's passing are scarce at the moment, TMZ is reporting that the cause of death appears to be a drug overdose.

Miller's body was found at his home in San Fernando Valley after authorities were contacted by a friend of the rapper's.

He was reportedly pronounced dead on the scene.

Though a respected figure on the hip hop scene since the release of his 2011 mixtape "Best Day Ever" and 2012 debut album, Blue Slide Park, Miller is perhaps best known for his romantic relationship with singer Ariana Grande.

Mac Miller Pic

Miller and Grande began dating in 2016.

The relationship was often described as a whirlwind romance, and the engagement rumors that circulated on multiple occasions were tellingly never denied by either party.

Miller dedicated his 2016 album The Divine Feminine to his then-girlfriend and stated in the press that Grande taught him to reflect on the important role that women had played in his life and development.

Sadly, in May of 2018, Grande and Miller broke up.

Ariana Grande and Mac Miller

According to Grande, his substance abuse played a role in her decision to end the relationship.

Shortly after the split, Miller was arrested for a DUI hit and run after he crashed his G-Wagon and fled the scene on foot.

He was later apprehended at his home and blew twice the legal limit on a breathalyzer test.

When fans blamed Grande for the Miller's downward spiral, she pushed back on social media.

"I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be," she tweeted.

"I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years."

Grande added:

"Of course I didn't share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was."

Ariana Grande Kisses Mac Miller

According to TMZ, in the months following the breakup and Grande's subsequent engagement to Pete Davidson, friends were instructed not to mention the situation in Miller's presence.

Miller seems to have struggled with substance abuse his entire life, to the point that premature death was a subject that was often on his mind and one that he addressed frequently in his music.

He delved into great detail about his addiction to promethazine and codeine (a combination known as "purple drank") on his 2014 album Faces.

Addressing his substance abuse issues in a 2012 interview, Miller had this to say:

Mac Miller Selfie

"I'd rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can't even get out of his house.

"Overdosing is just not cool. You don't go down in history because you overdose. You just die."

A profile of Miller was published by Vulture on Thursday and contained this tragically illuminating quote about the rapper's mindset in his final days:

"A lot of times in my life I've put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived."

He added:

Mac Miller Photo

"And it creates pressure."

Mac Miller was scheduled to begin a nationwide tour next month.

His final Instagram post features a portion of his song "So It Goes," which features the lyrics:

"Nine lives, never, die, f-ck a heaven, I'm still gettin' high."

Our thoughts go out to Miller's loved ones during this difficult time.

He delved into great detail about his addiction to promethazine and codeine (a combination known as "purple drank") on his 2014 album Faces.

Addressing his substance abuse issues in a 2012 interview, Miller had this to say:

"I'd rather be the corny white rapper than the drugged-out mess who can't even get out of his house."

"Overdosing is just not cool. You don't go down in history because you overdose. You just die."

A profile of Miller was published by Vulture on Thursday and contained this tragically illuminating quote about the rapper's mindset in his final days.

"A lot of times in my life," he said, "I've put this pressure to hold myself to the standard of whatever I thought I was supposed to be, or how I was supposed to be perceived."

He added:

"And it creates pressure."

For his last words, publicly anyway, that line is extremely telling.

Burt Reynolds Dies; Hollywood Icon Was 82

Sad news out of Hollywood today, as a bonafide screen legend is no longer with us.

Several media outlets are now reporting that Burt Reynolds died at his home in Florida on Thursday.

Burt Reynolds

The actor was 82 years old.

Sources say Reynolds was surrounded by loved ones at the time of his passing.

His death was confirmed moments ago by his agent, Todd Eisner.

"No comment, just heartbreaking," Eisner said in a press release.

Known for such iconic films as The Longest Yard, Smokey and the Bandit, Deliverance, and Boogie Nights, Reynolds amassed more than 200 film and television credits over the course of his 60-year career.

A committed craftsman to the very end, Reynolds was in the process of filming Quentin Tarantino's forthcoming Once Upon a Time In Hollywood at the time of his death.

He recently wrapped filming on Defining Moments, which is set for release in December.

Though the commercial peak of Reynolds' career came in the 1970s, when he starred in a string of blockbusters, he enjoyed a renaissance later in life.

It was his work in the latter half of his career - culminating in an Oscar nomination for Boogie Nights in 1998 - that earned him the lasting respect of the acting world.

Of course, any discussion of Reynolds' career would be incomplete without acknowledging what might have been.

Among the jobs he famously turned down:

B. Reynolds

Han Solo in Star Wars, John McClane in Die Hard, R.P. McMurphy in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, and Garrett Breedlove in Terms of Endearment were some of the many roles Reynolds passed on at the peak of his career.

"I was interested in having a good time," Reynolds wrote in his 2015 memoir, But Enough About Me.

"I didn't open myself to new writers or risky parts because I wasn't interested in challenging myself as an actor.

"As a result, I missed a lot of opportunities to show I could play serious roles. By the time I finally woke up and tried to get it right, nobody would give me a chance."

But even without those now-iconic roles on his resume, the highlights of Reynolds' career are staggeringly impressive.

The number one box office draw each year from 1978-1982, the Michigan native had four films in theaters at once in '78.

Throughout the history of the film industry, only a handful of actors have enjoyed such popular success for so long as Burt Reynolds.

And today millions of fans are mourning the loss of a true film legend.

In the wake of his passing, many big names across Hollywood chimed in with a story about Reynolds or to pay their respects.

Sally Field: “There are times in your life that are so indelible, they never fade away. They stay alive, even forty years later."

"My years with Burt never leave my mind. He will be in my history and my heart, for as long as I live. Rest, Buddy."

Arnold Schwarzenegger: Burt Reynolds was one of my heroes. He was a trailblazer.

He showed the way to transition from being an athlete to being the highest paid actor, and he always inspired me. He also had a great sense of humor - check out his Tonight Show clips. My thoughts are with his family.

Reba McEntire: My good friend has started a new journey. Rest in my peace my friend. I’ll never forget the wonderful times we spent together.

Goldie Hawn: There is only One Burt Reynolds. One! I loved our time our laughs and fun. Now your angels will giggle at your silly jokes as they hold you lightly as you rest dear one.

Kevin Bacon: Im 19.  I get a few lines in a movie. The megastar on set was really nice and cool to this punk actor (me) for no reason.

The director called me before the movie came out to tell me I had hit the cutting room floor. But I never forgot that Star. Thanks Burt. RIP.

Paul Wesley: Burt Reynolds was one of the kindest and most generous people I have ever worked with.

He took me under his wing when I was first starting out as an actor and offered friendship, advice and guidance. I’ll never forget how much that meant to me.

Michael Chiklis: I owe my career, at least in part, to the great Burt Reynolds. Heartbroken to learn of his passing. He was one of a kind.

A fun loving, charismatic talent who did many good deeds quietly, without personal expectation but rather out of the kindness of his extraordinary heart. RIP.

Sylvester Stallone: A sad day, my friend BURT REYNOLDS Has passed away. I remember him back in 1979, he always reminded me that I should’ve cast him as Colonel Trautman in FIRST BLOOD.

I said that’s impossible, because you’re too expensive and too famous, and probably tougher than Rambo ! He laughed.

He had a great sense of humor and I enjoyed his company so much... RIP Buddy

Christopher Lawford, Actor and Nephew of JFK, Dies at 63

Christopher Lawford, an actor who was also the nephew of former President John F. Kennedy, died this week from unknown causes.

He was 63 years old.

Christopher Lawford

According to TMZ, Lawford was at a yoga studio last night when he had a medical emergency of some kind and later died.

These law enforcement sources say the death appears to be from "natural causes," but the coroner is performing an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.

We cannot confirm anything at this time.

Lawford’s death was confirmed by his cousin Kerry Kennedy, who wrote on Twitter:

“We mourn the loss of my cousin Christopher Lawford, Rest in Peace. Pictured here with our family at the 2004 Democratic Convention and with his wonderful son, David."

This was the Tweet and the picture in question that confirmed the sad development:

Lawford was son of JFK’s sister Patricia and the British actor Peter Lawford.

In addition to his well-known lineage, Lawford was best known to the entertainment masses for his acting career, with television roles on programs including General Hospital, All My Children and Frasier,.

He also had a role in 2003’s Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and in the Cuban Missle Crises movie Thirteen Days.

He had over 40 credits to his name, across the small screen and big screen.

In his 2016 book, "When Your Partner Has an Addiction: How Compassion Can Transform Your Relationship (And Heal You Both in the Process)," Lawford opened up about his addiction to LSD, which he said started at age 14 and concluded at age 30 when he went to rehab.

The late 63-year old attributed his issues to his parents’ bitter divorce, along with the assassinations of his uncles John and Robert.

“I had friends trying to get me to use LSD in seventh grade. I grew up with an ethic of trying to do good in the world, and I said no. Then my Uncle Bobby was shot. Next fall they asked me again and I said sure,” Lawford wrote in this memoir.

In 2006, Lawford said on The Today Show of his past:

"There are many days when I wish I could take back and use (my youth) more appropriately. But all of that got me here. I can’t ask for some of my life to be changed and still extract the understanding and the life that I have today, with my children, with my friends, with my lover.

"All of those relationships are the result of all that I have gone through with my life."

Lawford was born on March 29, 1955 in Santa Monica, California.

As you might expect from someone in his family, he was active in politics, working with the Democratic National Committee, the United Nations, the White House Office on Drug Control Policy, the World Health Organization and the Canadian Center on Substance Abuse.

That's a pretty impressive list.

lawford

In 2009, Lawford was appointed to the California Public Health Advisory Committee.

He was named Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime in 2011.

Lawford is survived by his second wife, Mercedes Miller, and his children, two sons and a daughter, from his first marriage to Jeannie Olsson.

We send our condolences to his family members, friends and loved ones.

May he rest in peace.

Claire Wineland Dies; Beloved YouTube Star Was 21

Claire Wineland, famous YouTuber and inspiration to countless others living with cystic fibrosis, has passed away at 21 years old.

Last week, she underwent a lung transplant. The transplant itself was successful.

A post from her foundation explains what happened, and Claire's own final Instagram post from the day she died tells you exactly who she was as a person.

Claire Wineland

The Claire's Place Foundation Facebook page broke the difficult, heartbreaking news.

"Last night at 6:00pm," the page begins. "Claire Wineland our inspirational founder passed away."

"She was not in any pain," the post confirms. "And the medical staff said it was the most peaceful passing they had ever witnessed."

We are sure that it was a bittersweet comfort to hear those words.

Claire Wineland on Instagram

Fans and followers heard more details.

"She was surrounded by love and with her mother Melissa Yeager and father John Wineland;" the post continues.

"They saw her into this world for her first breath and were with her for her last."

"She suffered a massive stroke on August 26th after a successful double lung transplant," the post shares.

"The stroke," the post explains. "Was caused by a blood clot."

Claire Wineland Smiles

The post reveals: "After a week of intensive care and various life saving procedures, it became clear that it was Claire’s time to go."

"Yesterday, Claire’s family and a few very close friends came to say their final farewells and offer their support to the family," the Facebook post offers.

The post continues: "In Claire fashion, she is an organ donor."

Some families have a hard time grappling with organ donation. Fortunately, Claire's did not.

"Claire’s remarkable family were so happy for the other families that were now getting the calls that the organ they had long been waiting for was now available for transplant," the post explains.

After all, the post reminds Claire's fans and followers, "they had been on the receiving end of that call just one short week ago."

"We know Claire was loved all over the world," the post continues.

The post affirms: "Your prayers, support, and encouraging words have been a huge source of strength for her and her family."

"Thank you from the bottom of our hearts," the post expresses. "For your massive amazing out pouring of love."

Claire was a thoughtful, intelligent, and friendly person. She shared some final words of her own.

On August 26, the same day that she passed away, Claire took to Instagram to make a post before going into surgery.

"So grateful for everything this month," Claire wrote. "I’m grateful for all the people who donated to help me get through transplant."

"I’m grateful for the doctors that’ll be scooping out these lungs and giving me some more life to work with," she wrote. "I'm grateful for the chance to keep being a person."

"I’m grateful for my own head and for all the weird things in it," Claire said. "I’m just really overwhelmingly grateful for all of this."

Claire concluded what would be her final Instagram post: "There is no passionate rant to be had here I am just happy and thought I would let you all know."

This is so tragic. It's one thing to know, intellectually, that Claire was only 21. Somehow, her age becomes much more real when you realize that she was born in 1997.

Claire was intelligent and creative and well-read.

If you really want to hurt your own feelings -- and maybe you feel that you owe it to her -- check out her YouTube or even just her Instagram.

She will never again get to share her thoughts and experiences with her countless fans, or with her loved ones.

Rest in peace, Claire. Our hearts go out to her family and friends at this time.
