Kim Kardashian: I Got This! I Can Fix Twitter, Everyone!

Kim Kardashian is riding high these days.

And why shouldn't she?

The often-maligned reality star achieved something legitimately impressive this month, talking President Donald Trump into commuting the sentence of a 63-year old name Alice Marie Johnson.

Kim Kardashian on Board

Johnson had been in prison for over two decades due to a non-violent drug offense and had been sentenced to spend her life behind bars.

But Kardashian's activism on regard to this issue helped set Johnson free.

Now, Kim has set her sights on an even more challenging goal:

Convinving Twitter to FINALLY add an Edit button to its interface!

On Monday, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote on social media that she talked up Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey at a party and felt positive about the progress she made on this issue.

“I had a very good convo with @jack this weekend at Kanye’s bday and I think he really heard me out on the edit button,” wrote the 27-year old mother of three.

Kim Kardashian Insta Pic

This whole Edit button thing has been an issue pretty much since Twitter burst on to the Internet scene.

As it stands now, one cannot go back in and change any spelling mistakes - or any mistakes or any nature - after a Tweet goes live.

One must either delete the original Tweet and post a new one, or share a second Tweet that amends the first Tweet.

We'd have to imagine this has become Kim's new major cause after she met with President Trump, America's most prominent terrible speller and misguided Twitter user.

(Remember the Covfefe disaster?)

Dorsey responded to Kim's Tweet with one of his own, writing:

“Now I see why I was invited [to that party]!” to which the fashion maven responded:

“Hahaha never! Kanye loves you! But I had to bring it up."

With the Edit button among the most pressing of concerns for the general public, Internet users jumped on their own accounts and showed Kardashian with praise for this effort.

“Thank you for your service Kim,” one fan tweeted, while another chimed in as follows:

“I third this motion."

Having an Edit option could have maybe benefited West a a few weeks ago after the rapper garnered major backlash for expressing his support for President Donald Trump.

The rapper called the Command-in-Chief his “brother” during a Twitter rant in April, prompting Kardashian to defend her husband... via Twitter, of course.

“When he spoke about Trump," explained Kim. "Most people (including myself) have very different feelings & opinions about this.

"But this is HIS opinion. I believe in people being able to have their own opinions, even if really different from mine. He never said he agrees with his politics."

Ideally, though, you just know Kardashian wishes she could have gone in and changed some of Kanye's wording.

At some point down the line, perhaps she'll be able to.

Journalist Slams Anthony Bourdain as "Gaping Assh-le," Gets Savaged on Twitter

The name David Leavitt might not be familiar to you, but there's a very good chance you've seen his awful attempts at humor or insight clogging up your social media feeds.

Many people first became aware of Leavitt when he famously thought the correct way to respond to news of the Manchester bombing that claimed 22 lives was to make jokes at the expense of Ariana Grande.

Ariana Grande Singing for One Love

"MULTIPLE CONFIRMED FATALITIES at Manchester Arena," Leavitt tweeted.

"The last time I listened to Ariana Grande I almost died too."

And folks, the rib-ticklers didn't end there.

In response to criticism, Leavitt decided to keep his "dad-joke night in the Catskills" routine going by tweeting:

"Honestly, for over a year, I thought an Ariana Grande was something you ordered from Starbucks."

Leavitt was swiftly and rightly roasted to a crisp on that memorable occasion, and while most people would've taken their licks and happily limped back into obscurity, it seems Dave has fallen in love with his new career as a professional troll.

Anthony Bourdain Photograph

As you've likely heard by now, the world awoke today to news that beloved chef, writer, and television personality Anthony Bourdain passed away.

It's difficult to think of an international celebrity who cultivated such an intimate relationship with his fans, and millions are mourning a death that feels much more personal than the passing of most public figures.

So leave it to Leavitt to solidify his reputation as the world's most tone-deaf dumbass by thinking today would be a good day to settle his long-simmering feud with Bourdain.

In the wake of the Manchester incident, Bourdain was one of thousands who pointed out to Leavitt that he's the very worst kind of person.

"You, sir, are truly a steaming, gaping," Bourdain tweeted with his trademark candor.

Anthony Bourdain Snapshot

When Anthony Bourdain describes you as a piece of anatomy he wouldn't eat on the Mekong Delta in front of a camera crew, you know you effed up, and it seems Leavitt really took the insult to heart.

"Selfishly taking your own life and hurting your friends and family makes you the steaming, gaping asshole Anthony Bourdain," Leavitt tweeted this afternoon.

He then doubled down by casusally informing his followers that Bourdain is burning in hell:

"You don’t go to heaven when you kill yourself. It’s incredibly selfish. Don’t do it," he tweeted, adding:

"If you’re religious, then you believe there’s a special place in hell or purgatory for people like Anthony Bourdain who take their own lives."

Leavitt then attempted to score points on Kate Spade's suicide, accusing the late designer of courting depression by chasing "material goods and ego boosts."

Anthony Bourdain Photo

After being ratioed within an inch of his life and losing over 1,000 followers in an hour, Leavitt attempted to backtrack and play the old "actually, I'm more affected by this tragedy than you are" card.

"A couple close friends have taken their lives," he tweeted.

"That’s why I’m opinionated on this."

It's hard to know what to say when a life as big and bold as Anthony Bourdain's ends in such a tragic fashion, so we'll just encourage you to call the National Suicide Prevention hotline at 1-800-273-8255 if you're plagued by thoughts of self-harm.

Oh, and don't follow David Leavitt on Twitter.

That's just sound advice for everyone.

Nursery Rhyme Prepares Children to Hide During School Shootings

This may send chills down your spine. It should.

A woman tweeted about a horrifying poem -- written to a hauntingly familiar tune -- that she saw posted on the wall of her child's future classroom.

It's to prepare for lockdowns in the event of a school shooting.

On Tuesday, June 5, Somerville Schools posted on Facebook:

"Tomorrow is Kindergarten Transition Day, when incoming Kindergarteners spend he day visiting their new school and learning about Kindergarten."

That is not uncommon for schools, especially elementary schools that have any sort of partnership with specific pre-K programs or facilities.

Parents come in for a sort of open house experience. At some of these events, preschoolers who are soon to be rising kindergarteners are able to see and visualize their future.

Everything is so new when you are 4 or 5 years old, so being able to see a classroom in advance can make your future less daunting.

Unfortunately, the experience caused quite a fright for a parent after she saw this hanging in a classroom.

Lockdown Rhyme Scare 01

To the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," or "The ABC Song," or "Baa Baa Black Sheep," read:

"Lockdown, lockdown, lock the door."

"Shut the lights off, say no more."

A chorus of children's voices singing this sounds like the intro to a horror movie.

"Get behind the desk and hide. Wait until it's safe inside."

Holy f--k.

"Lockdown, lockdown, it's all done. Now it's time to have some fun."

Some commenters tried to comment that this might be for tornado drills, too. But it is not. Tornado drills send children into hallways, and do not require turning off the lights or remaining silent.

This is to prepare children to hide and fear for their lives in the event of a shooting.

Lockdown Rhyme Scare 02

Georgy Cohen, the mother who shared the image, which of course went viral as people saw it and blanched with horror, wrote:

"This should not be hanging in my soon-to-be-kindergartener’s classroom."

Referring to her child as "Z," which is a tasteful way of discussing your child in a public space, Cohen says:

"Yeah. They already do the drills in pre K. Z was excited about it as a game to see if you can stay quiet for 'one whole minute.'"

To children, death is usually an abstract concept. And it very much should be.

For parents and other adults, who can fully understand the creeping dread of a society that allows its most vulnerable citizens to be in so much danger on a daily basis, this really hits home.

Lockdown Rhyme Scare 03

To be clear, she is not in any way condemning the school or the teacher who wrote the song.

"I’m only going to add one more comment to this:"

As you can imagine, her mentions on Twitter were blowing up.

"The school is doing exactly what they need to be doing, and I am glad for it."

A rhyming song with a familiar tune is great for teaching children to remember simple instructions.

"My issue is with the political & cultural factors that brought us to this sad state."

Yep. She specifically refers to America's gun culture and the lack of political action.

"Please talk to your legislators about the need for gun reform."

Lockdown Rhyme Scare 04

The tweet's viral popularity was astonishing. This rhyme was a real shock to the system -- which is good, because these horrors should never be normalized.

Many people who have a tweet blow up try to garner attention to a personal passion, such as their SoundCloud.

Cohen writes:

"So I don’t have a SoundCloud but I, like most of you, have congressional representatives I can call to advocate for gun reform Or we can support orgs like @Everytown and @SandyHook."

That is sound advice.

The whole world has been horrified by these shootings. Regular folks and celebrities alike.

Kendra Wilkinson to Hank Baskett: Sorry For Ruining Your Life! I Just Need D–k!

Earlier this week, Kendra Wilkinson live-tweeted (and ultimately deleted) some pretty explosive information about Hank Baskett.

She said that her estranged spouse recorded their conversations, blamed her for ending his NFL career, and blamed him for his own affair.

Wilkinson and Hank

Clearly caught up in a groundswell of emotion, Kendra later thought better of it, deleting those tweets and instead putting up a heartfelt apology.

And, surprisingly, she even admitted responsibility for one of those things that Baskett blames her for.

In some (yet again deleted) tweets, Kendra poured out her regrets by apologizing to her ex, writing:

"I want to apologize publicly to Hank."

One would assume that it was simply because she aired their dirty laundry, but there's a twist. She actually admits the following:

"I was the reason your football career ended."

Kendra Wilkinson in Hawaii

That is ... kind of a huge admission.

According to Kendra, Hank made this claim - which many believed to be outrageous - though he hasn't said it publicly.

But now she implies there may be truth to it, saying: "I regret doing that to u and i hope you learn to forgive me one day."

Honestly, given that the vast majority of football players endure massive, chronic brain trauma and other physical stresses ...

... we can't say for sure what role she allegedly played in his career decline, but she may have done him a favor.

Kendra and Hank, Back in the Day

But she doesn't point that out. There's a time and a place, and this isn't it. Instead, she tries to focus on the positives and turn the page:

"I loved u and was always your number one fan."

Kendra's self-reflection / tweeting continued:

"I was 24 when i got married. Now I'm 33."

(That's publicly available information, yes, but it's not always easy for a female celeb to admit that they're anything older than 29.)

"I made a lot of mistakes through those young years and im sorry for making u feel the way i did," she writes to Hank/her fans.

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett Photograph

Well, we all know that Kendra can get a little ... intense

She's never held back, and certainly isn't now, writing: "All i ever wanted was family because i never had a solid one."

Viewers of Kendra on Top are all too aware of what Kendra's mom is like. Patti Wilkinson often does more harm than good.

While Patti may have had an impact during K-Dubs' formative years, she's not making excuses, telling Baskett:

"Me being immature was the reason i couldn't give u more."

Goodbye, Hank

The day before, as we said earlier, Kendra made a lot of headlines when she aired the couple's difficult communications.

"He's blaming me for his football career ending," she wrote. "He's blaming me for cheating on me while I was pregnant."

Hank allegedly hooked up with transgender model Ava London while Kendra was pregnant with their daughter, Alijah.

This was years ago, and it is difficult to imagine how Kendra is to blame for Hank getting a hand job from Ava London.

That's all in the past, though. She's looking ahead.

Kendra Wilkinson apology tweet

"I tried so hard. I did everything by the book and loved and i get s--t on," she said. "I'm so sorry for u all to feel awkward [right] now."

She explains, apologetically, to her followers that she had freaked out when Hank (allegedly) started recording their conversation.

"When i was being recorded i felt threatened."

But, in a non-deleted tweet, Kendra writes that she's moving on: "[I] am done tweeting about hank out of respect for my kids."

People don't think about this enough (though it's been mentioned during recent Southern Charm drama), but words do matter.

Especially to celebrity children.

Kendra Wilkinson Baskett and Hank Baskett

These kids will one day grow up and have unlimited internet access just like everyone else, and nothing truly gets deleted online.

A parent having a sex tape or whatever is just garden variety embarrassing. Seeing their parents feud ... that's something else.

It appears that she wants to set a positive tone going forward, saying of Baskett, "Love will always win and he’s a great guy..."

That sounds vague, like she just wanted to say something nice about Hank. Which, even if that's true, would be appreciated.

"We will all be fine after this hurdle is over," she adds.

Kendra Baskett, Hank Baskett

To be clear, we don't think that she's saying she and Hank will be back together. Just that public outbursts like this won't continue.

"Fine" can take a lot of forms, and so can families.

It's not easy for a duo to become best friends and great co-parents right off the bat. Sometimes amicable and "fine" is a solid first step.

Sometimes it's the only attainable one.

Kendra, being Kendra, also tweeted something of a very different nature, saying she might just be frustrated ... in more ways than one:

"I think i just need some dick."

Kendra Wilkinson dick tweet

That's not a surprising admission.

While not a lot of people would put it quite so bluntly, Kendra has openly described herself as "one horny-ass motherf--ker."

She had joked (we think) about wearing out the batteries on her personal sex toys (most electronic sex toys come with chargers these days).

Basically, if anyone's gonna come out and say they want some D, it's K-Dubs. Some individuals have higher than average sex drives.

She is one of them.

On top of all she's going through emotionally, Kendra likely feels like she's losing her mind when not having regular sex.

Just like how some people cannot handle missing lunch, Wilkinson probably wants to feel that physical connection. Bigly.

So in closing, let's just hope that Kendra, um, gets everything that she needs in the coming weeks, months and years.

Roseanne Barr: I’ll Make Restitution, But I Did Nothing Wrong!!

Last week, Roseanne Barr's racist tweet and the ensuing backlash got her sitcom revival cancelled. Womp womp.

This week, she is trying to convince people that she is "making resitution" for what she's done. That's very vague, but sounds good.

Unfortunately, she might be more convincing if she weren't retweeting outlandish, horrible statements about the same woman she compared to an epe.

Roseanne Barr in 2018

Roseanne Barr tweeted that former Senior Adviser to President Obama, Valerie Jarrett, was the child of the "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes."

That, folks, is racist. Comparing black people to apes has a long and terrible history, and it is impossible to imagine that Roseanne did not know that.

Though she had made a similar statement about another member of the Obama administration several years ago, it was the outcry over this tweet that prompted ABC to cancel her series.

In addition to using racism as a weapon to target a woman whose politics she dislike, Roseanne also cost the entire cast and crew their jobs.

While multiple sources indicate that a spinoff without Barr might actually happen, it sounds like a long-shot.

Roseanne herself seems to at least acknowledge that she did something wrong. On Tuesday, she tweeted:

Roseanne Barr new tweets 01

"I'm making restitution for the pain I have caused."

It is not clear whether Roseanne is referring to the people she targeted with racist insults -- people like Valerie Jarrett.

She may also be talking about the cast and crew who are suddenly in search of new jobs even though her show had previously been renewed for a second season.

Many of these people may have had to turn down offers that have now expired because they already had Roseanne lined up. Some are scrambling.

But maybe Roseanne really wants to convince fans who felt betrayed by her racism that she's not the same as she was.

Though retweeting replies like this one may make that harder to believe.

Roseanne Barr new tweets 02

A fan tweeted, and Roseanne retweeted, this:

"You didn't cause any pain. Those people always hated you."

Point of order: actually, plenty of people who currently dislike Roseanne Barr were fans of her, years ago, when she was an advocate for equality. They wonder what happened to make her like she is today.

"Valerie Jarrett wants Israelis and Jews chased into the sea, and she'll celebrate."

We're horrified by this statement and also unsure of the source of Jarrett's alleged desire to red bull an entire diverse ethnic group of millions of people.

Obviously, Roseanne is not responsible for the abhorrent things that her fans say.

But she chose to retweet this. She is responsible for that.

And many feel that it calls her entire "restitution' statement into question.

Roseanne Barr new tweets 03

Roseanne also tweeted this:

"Deplatforming -- read about it."

Deplatforming is usually brought up when people are talking about nazis.

The idea is essentially that while people are free to think and say the most evil, abhorrent things imaginable, that doesn't mean that other people have to listen.

It also doesn't mean that these people need a platform from which to spew their vile rhetoric.

Thus, deplatforming is making sure that people like famed nazi Richard Spencer have as few opportunities to try to share their ideas about genocide as possible.

Roseanne Image

Based upon that tweet, Roseanne apparently believes that deplatforming is a bad thing and that it is happening to her.

In that case, is she suggesting that her racist tweet was fine, and that this was all a sinister conspiracy to boot her off of television?

To be honest ... based upon her social media history, this would not even the most bizarre and improbable conspiracy theory that Roseanne believes.

But though people have rushed to her defense -- sort of -- by claiming that she isn't racist but is in fact just crazy, there is no evidence of that.

Racism is a lot of things, but it is not a mental illness. Millions of people with mental illness manage to not be racist. Sometimes, people are just bad.

We would all like to see Roseanne do and say better things. Maybe she's serious about restitution. We sure hope so.

Kendra Wilkinson: Hank Blames ME For His Extramarital Handjob!

Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett, after weeks of what we can only awkwardly characterize as "hype," split.

At first, things were looking more-or-less amicable.

That has now changed.

Kendra has gone from posting about being sad and single and needed to feel motivated and excited again to tweeting some accusations against Hank.

These aren't what you'd expect -- they're not accusations about his behavior during their nearly 9 years of marriage.

These are accusations about his behavior towards her now that they have broken up.

Kendra hastily deleted most of the tweets that we are about to show you.

Take a look:

1. Kendra and Hank are over

Goodbye hank
This we've known for a little while, and it appeared to be amicable at first. It looks like things have turned downright nasty, however.

2. First, Kendra accuses Hank of recording her

Kendra wilkinson tweets 01
In some cases, and in some parts of the United States, it is illegal to record someone speaking without their permission. In any event, it's rarely something you do when you're on good terms with your partner, or ex.

3. She says that he blames her for a lot of things

Kendra wilkinson tweets 02
Not entirely sure how he figures that. This is something that happens, sooner or later, to every athlete, and Hank - while absolutely great at his sport, to even make it to the highest level in college and pro football - was never an elite player by NFL standards.

4. That wasn't his most outlandish claim

Kendra wilkinson tweets 03
While Kendra was pregnant with their daughter, Alijah, Hank reportedly cheated on her with a transgender model, though he insists that he was, at worst, a passive participant in Ava London giving him hand relief, over the shorts (this claim is disputed). Other reports claim that the two went further than he claims. Regardless, it's hard to see how a pregnant Kendra could have forced his hand (sorry ... or any other body part).

5. Kendra was outta there.

Kendra wilkinson tweets 04
No one likes being recorded or disrespected. Especially by an ex. There are clearly a lot of emotions in play, but this was reportedly what pushed her past her breaking point.

6. But Kendra wasn't done

Kendra wilkinson brunette
Not even close. Kendra deleted those tweets - which included some serious accusations - but then she tweeted out some further thoughts, which have ALSO since been deleted. You're not going to believe those ...

Taylor Swift: Fans Rave at Her Speech for Pride Month!

June is LGBT+ Pride Month, and Taylor Swift knows exactly how to acknowledge her fans.

Her Reputation Tour came to Chicago over the weekend.

As you'll see in the video below, Taylor walked out on stage and delivered a heartfelt speech.

She addressed her fans who have come out of the proverbial closet. She also addressed those who are not yet "out" and have to hide their authentic selves from at least some of the people in their lives.

Taylor reminded her cheering audience that, as worthy of celebration as the many strides towards equal rights the LGBT+ community has made, there is still a long way to go.

She's absolutely right. When people come out, it's often lauded as a "brave choice." Being yourself should not require any bravery, but it does for millions of people.

As you'll see, Taylor's fans gave major heart eyes to this thoughtful speech. Take a look:

1. Here's the speech itself

Demi Lovato: Fans Accuse Her of Sexual Harassment After Prank-Gone-Wrong

Demi Lovato decided to hold a Q&A session with fans on Twitter.

It didn't go so well after Demi answered an innocuous question with a story that shocked and horrified a sizable chunk of her fans.

Demi tells fans that she once pulled a prank on her bodyguard by hiring a sex worker to surprise him.

She says that the sex worker groped his genitals during the process.

Demi shares this in a single tweet -- and we do have to remember that sometimes people leave out important details while condensing a story.

But, to many, it sounds like she solicited someone to sexually harass one of her employees, and ultimately shares the blame for him being groped.

Though the bodyguard himself defended Demi, fans point out that an employee defending his boss isn't exactly surprising.

The discourse among fans is actually really interesting, and both sides make really good points. Take a look.

1. This is how it starts

Demi lovato discourse tweet 01
We're not sure why Demi decided to be this honest in answering the fan Q&A. She could have said something less controversial. She has since deleted this tweet.

2. Demi did not like the responses

Demi lovato discourse tweet 02
Fans, as you can imagine, did not like Demi comparing a story about sexual harassment to, uh, jellybeans. So ... technically, she was right -- people were pretty pissed about her jellybeant weet.

3. Demi tried to defend herself

Demi lovato discourse tweet 03
Wiord to the wise: "I was abused" is not a get-out-of-jail-free card. Unfortunately, some people who survive abuse can be very problematic as adults.

4. Demi then "apologizes"

Demi lovato discourse tweet 04
This, folks, is not an apology. She's sort of saying that she regrets that other people reacted negatively to her statement. We've all "apologized" like this and we know that it's what you say when you think that what you did was right.

5. The bodyguard spoke up

Demi lovato discourse tweet 05
Before he saw the discourse, Max just replied with a see-no-evil monkey emoji. Given the context, it sounds like he was not especially bothered by the prank.

6. Max then defends Demi

Demi lovato discourse tweet 06
When someone sexually harasses another person, is it sexual harassment if they say that it's okay? Is that still the case if the person is an employee? The world is complicated.

Donald Trump Breaks Silence on Roseanne Cancellation, Makes It About Him

Roseanne Barr's very public and not-so-shocking racism got Roseanne canceled

Though Roseanne is an outspoken Trump supporter and the show's reboot shocked former fans and writers with its conservative slant, Trump did not initially speak out.

But Trump did break his silence on the cancelation. And he's making it all about him.

Donald Trump as The President

Trump being Trump, he took to Twitter to lash out over Roseanne's cancelation.

"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that “ABC does not tolerate comments like those” made by Roseanne Barr."

We know that Trump jumbles things a lot and it's easy to be desensitized to that, but it took him all of four words to be wrong about something.

Bob Iger hasn't been President of ABC since the 1990s. He's the CEO of Disney, which owns ABC. We're not splitting hairs; Trump is just showing his age.

"Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC."

Please don't refer to yourself in the third person.

"Maybe I just didn’t get the call?"

Trump Tweet about Roseanne

It's kind of amazing -- though not surprising -- that he manages to make the cancelation about him.

Roseanne's unabashed bigotry cost about 200 people their jobs. Many are hopeful that the series can continue in a spin-off without Roseanne.

But the real issue with Trump's tweet is that he continues to misunderstand the difference between absolutely depraved, indecent racism and ... saying unkind things.

It's like how n Thursday morning, some conservatives took to Twitter to attempt to raise a fuss about comedian and host Samantha Bee, who said unkind things about Ivanka Trump.

Whatever you may think about Ivanka, there is a difference between saying something that might hurt someone's feelings and, say, using classic racist insults.

You can absolutely say unkind things about someone -- even if those things are unfair.

But when we're talking about Trump, his complaints about ABC News are basically just that they report the things that he says and does.

That's not even an insult -- that's their job.

Roseanne Pic

Roseanne was not just a Trump-supporter personally. The show's reboot turned the original series on its head, politically speaking.

Many saw the reboot of Roseanne as almost a surrogate for Trump on television.

While many may have tuned into the pilot out of curiosity or nostalgia, others tuned in explicitly because they wanted a Trump-friendly sitcom.

(Many shows have, of course, integrated or acknowledged Trump in some way, but this is usually negative. Black Lightning has a villain say "make America great again" explicitly, while other shows like Star Trek: Discovery have subtler references to the ominous slogan)

Trump himself said that he called Roseanne Barr to congratulate her on her show's pilot's success.

After 18 million viewers turned out, the show was immediately renewed for another season.

Until Roseanne ruined it.

Donald Trump in a Foul Mood

Of course, as many have pointed out, Roseanne has a history of making awful statements.

Prior to comparing Valerie Jarrett to an ape, she accused George Soros, who is both Jewish and was a child during World War II, of having been a Nazi collaborator.

Roseanne has also, through her social media activity, suggested that she believes that Trump is carrying out secret arrests of Illuminati pedophile rings by using secret courts.

She also combines her bigotry and conspiracy theories, saying things about "Jewish mind control."

Critics say that ABC allowed to Roseanne reboot in the first place as a cynical ploy to attract viewers from Trump's base, who would watch the series out of spite if nothing else.

Some even wonder if FOX canceling a number of shows with good racial and LGBT+ representation but renewing the canceled Last Man Standing was their attempt to get a piece of the "deplorable" viewership pie.

Roseanne Image

Roseanne was perhaps canceled because ABC's leadership has certain lines that they are unwilling to cross.

But given that she was given a show to begin with -- and had made similar comments about other former members of the Obama administration -- many people have noted that it was the outcry that got the show canceled.

Sponsors notice outcry on social media. Networks take notice when sponsors pull out of a show.

Did Trump take her cancelation as a personal attack? Possibly.

It remains to be seen -- and will not be seen until November of 2020 -- whether enough of the American people will hold Trump to the same standards to which ABC held Roseanne Barr.

Khloe Kardashian SLAMS Her Fans: How DARE You Give Me Advice?!

Khloe Kardashian, who has been observed over the years as someone who becomes angry if others do not take her advice, does not want to hear your life advice.

She reportedly plans to stay with Tristan Thompson for one more month ... but fans and others who care about her don't think that's soon enough.

If you're one of the people who's tweeted at her to dump that cheater, she wants you, personally, to f--k off.

Khloe Kardashian with Sunglasses

Over Memorial Day weekend, Khloe tweeted:

"People spend too much time finding other people to blame, too much energy finding excuses for not being what they are capable of being."

First of all, talk about not focusing on others sounds kind of funny coming from Khloe, whose current TV series is Revenge Body

Second of all, it does sound like she's subtweeting at Tristan. Was he blaming his various mistresses?

But Khloe makes it clear that she's not talking about Tristan. She's talking about ... almost everyone else.

"People these days are focused so much on someone else’s life instead of their own."

Khloe, honey, that is exactly why you have a reality career. That's ... the entire concept of reality stars and celebrities.

Khloe Kardashian at 8 Months

Khloe continues, and speaks about unnamed persons who seem happy to give suggestionst that they themselves do not follow.

"They love to give advice but are not living the advice that they are offering."

We have a theory about what Khloe may mean by that ... we'll get to it in a moment.

"Most of the ones giving advice are in no place to give anything at all."

Like we said, our theory is below.

"Focus on your own world."

She says that no one is perfect.

"I’m sure there’s cracks there that need your attention."

She says that everyone has their own issues, which she apparently thinks that they need to fix before helping someone else.

"We all got em."

After essentially stating that only people who are perfect are allowed to give people advice, Khloe suggest that the people giving her advice are perhaps just trying to sabotage her happiness.

"Misery loves company…"

If she's happy being in a relationship with a serial cheater, perhaps she resents anyone who tries to talk sense into her.

"People can’t stand for someone else to flourish and be happy."

That's ... not necessarily true.

"Nowadays people thrive off ones downfall rather than their success. Sadly."

A downfall is more interesting than success, to be sure. But we don't know that thrive is the right word.

True Thompson

Khloe continued, suggesting that everyone's assumptions might be missing the mark.

"Wild that people assume you’re speaking about something and they run with it."

She marvels that vague tweets seen by millions of people could somehow be misinterpreted.

"Anything and everything gets twisted into something it’s completely not."

She then threatens to go on Twitter hiatus again.

"Lord, I’m remembering how much I loved my social media break."

The idea of that apparently brings her a lot of amusement.

Does Khloe hate her fans?

True Thompson Picture

Khloe did share a positive message on Instagram over the weekend, saying:

"If all girls were taught how to love each other fiercely instead of how to compete with each other and hate their own bodies, what a different and beautiful world we would live in."

That's very nice.

So, we said that we have a theory about Khloe's line about others giving her advice but not taking it.

Khloe's mistake right now is that she's standing by her man even though he's done bad things that have humiliated her.

Can we think of anyone else who is making a similar mistake right now but also believes that Khloe should leave Tristan?

Kim Kardashian is standing up for Kanye no matter what stupid things he says.

But Kim and Tristan have unfollowed each other on Instagram. It's probably safe to say that Kim thinks that Khloe should dump Tristan's cheating ass (or whichever cheating body part).

But Kim doesn't have to have common sense about her own marriage to see when Khloe's making a mistake. She, and Khloe's fans, just want to see Khloe live her best life.

And they can't imagine that it's possible with Tristan holding her back from true happiness.

Kim Kardashian Goes OFF on Rhymefest: Keep Kanye’s Name Out of Your Mouth!!

Kanye West's outlandish statements and worrisome behavior, form his outspoken Trump support to his blaming black people for slavery, continue to have consequences.

This time, Rhymefest put out a statement for a charity in Kanye's mother's name, distancing the organization from Kanye's MAGA views.

Kim Kardashian took to Twitter in a fury, putting Rhymefest on blast and vowing to take that charity out from under him.

Kimye Marriage Pic

Che Smith is better known by his stage name, Rhymefest.

He is an American hip hop artist, an award-winning songwriter, and a philanthropist. He is also a politician from Chicago.

He is cofounder of Donda's House, a charity named after Dr. Donda West, Kanye's late mother. As Snoop Dogg recently alluded, she passed away just over a decade ago.

Recently, Donda's House put out a statement imploring people upset by Kanye's Trump-support and other outlandish statements that they do not share his views.

"While we cannot and do not speak for Kanye West and his views, we can and will speak up for the youth that we serve."

"We ask that as you boycott and protest Kanye West, that you not forget that we are a non-profit organization that like other non-profits needs donations, corporate support, and volunteers"

"We do not want your rejection of Kanye West, to be a rejection of Dr. Donda West and the thousands of lives she impacted including her own son."

The non-profit also accused Kanye of having not provided them with the desired financial support, despite alleged agreements to do so.

Kim vs Rhymefest 01

Kim sent out a series of angry tweets on Saturday in response.

"U haven’t been right since u got kicked out of the studio in Hawaii wearing fake Yeezy’s @RHYMEFEST."

Hey, even fake Yeezys are closer to the real thing than plenty of people are willing to wear.

"You’re over [leveraging] Kanye’s name & asked Kanye to donate money to u so stop w your fake community politics & lies. Truth is you haven’t been able to sustain the foundation."

That's quite the claim.

"I saw you at our studio a few weeks ago so why didn’t you bring this up then @RHYMEFEST ? You were trying to get Kanye to listen to your sub par beats. You have the audacity to use Kanye’s mom name to try to shed a negative light on Kanye."

Some, Snoop Dogg included, have suggested in recent days that Kanye's behavior would be better if his mother were still alive to talk sense into him.

Kim vs Rhymefest 02
"You didn’t say this when Kanye paid you up front then you disappeared during Pablo #RealFriends @RHYMEFEST."
Some would point out since Kanye has been accused of borrowing massive amounts of money from Jay-Z, this isn't the best angle of attack.
"F--k i spelled leveraging wrong. Typing while pissed will do this to you."
That is very relatable.
"You better believe I will make it my mission to take Donda’s House from you and let my children run it the way it should be run! @RHYMEFEST"
That's quite a vow. But, to her credit, she's talking about handing it over to Dr. Donda West's grandchildren rather than taking it for herself.

"Oh and lastly your flight cancelled to Wyoming. You thought you were really worthy to be on this album."

Kim vs Rhymefest 03

Kim concluded her roast with an "apology" to her followers that was really just shade.

"Sorry to all of my followers for flooding my timeline I know you have no idea who Rhymefest is."

Rhymefest replied on Twitter, posting a full letter..

"Hey @KimKardashian good to hear from you. Here’s my response."

We'll give you the highlights.

He starts by explaining her attempted callouts about his presence at the studio and such. And then he gets personal.

"How can you criticize an organization that you've never physically been to OR that you've never even talked to the Executive Director or any of the team?"

Rhymefest Claps Back

He points out that, unlike Kim, he actually knew and had a relationship with Kanye's mother.

"I actually knew and was mentored by Dr. Donda West personally and have met with and spoken to hundreds of her students and mentees who not only support the work that we are doing in Chicago, but compel it."

He suggests that Kim is not getting the whole story of alleged broken promises that Kanye has made.

"At this point, if you and Kanye want us to dissolve the organization so that you can do the work, we welcome that."

The way that he sees it, that would just mean more organizations helping young people.

"As we will continue from our home on the South Side of Chicago, to do what we can to support the community we've worked 5 years to build in spite of you & Kanye's lack of interest or support."

Oh dang.

At the end, he writes that he awaits her decision, and:

"Our community will be okay, regardless."

Subway Fail: No One Votes in Saddest Twitter Poll

This is either a huge embarrassment or the most unexpected marketing scheme that we've seen in a while.

So, the Twitter account for Subway restaurants in Canada tweeted out a pair of polls.

Everybody loves to vote in polls, and people on the internet tend to have strong opinions about anything. Movies, rebooted children's cartoons, politics, and yes, fast food.

Somehow -- and this has stumped quite a few people -- this social media account, with 135,000 followers, managed to get zero votes on both polls.

People like to make fun of Subway, even though their food is delicious (it is; maybe you're just ordering the wrong things). Possibly because their most famous spokesperson turned out to be a monster.

But is their popularity really hurting so badly that no one even noticed a pair of polls untilt he results -- 0 votes in all categories -- had been posted?

Or is this a new and strangely genius social media marketing scheme?

Take a look:

1. First came the Bread Bae poll

Subway poll sad 01
Though the obvious correct answer is 9-Grain Honey Oat, the poll somehow garnered ZERO responses. From 135,000 followers.

2. They tried it again, this time with greek ingredients

Subway poll sad 02
Since feta is bad and tomatoes are inedible, the obvious answer was tzatziki. And yet, again, they garnered no votes.

3. Followers took notice

Subway poll sad 03
This person appears to have been attempting to ... neg ... Subway?

4. Others wondered how it could be possible

Subway poll sad 04
We'll notice that their social media engagement is fine.

5. This person tried to "vote" in a reply

Subway poll sad 05
A reply after the fact is not the same as a vote. For examples, see Brexit and the 2016 American election.

6. While some tried to troll, others showered Subway with compliments

Subway poll sad 06
People who don't vote SHOULD be shamed.

Ariana Grande DESTROYS Claim That She Caused Mac Miller DUI

Earlier this month, Ariana Grande and Mac Miller split after almost a year of dating.

About a week later, Mac Miller was arrested for a DUI hit-and-run. That's no laughing matter.

When a fan took to Twitter to accuse Ariana of being somehow at fault for Mac's troubles, Ariana shut that down in the best way.

Ariana Grande Goes Platinum

Following Ariana Grande's powerful BMA's performance, she's been a topic of conversation -- even more than usual.

Someone on Twitter apparently needed to get some thoughts about Ariana off of their chest, and on Monday, tweeted:

"Mac Miller totalling his G wagon and getting a DUI after Ariana Grande dumped him for another dude ..."

We should interject here that this is referring to Ariana's reported "very new" relationship with Pete Davidson, to which we referred on the anniversary of the Manchester Arena Bombing.

"... After he poured his heart out on a ten song album to her called the divine feminine is just the most heartbreaking thing happening in Hollywood."

Really? He couldn't think of anything more heartbreaking than that happening in Hollywood?

fan tries to shame Ariana Grande

Ariana clapped back, hard. As one Twitter user phrased it: "ARIANA! HAD! TIME!" Because she is not mincing words.

"How absurd that you minimize female self-respect and self-worth by saying someone should stay in a toxic relationship because he wrote an album about them."

She also takes the time to correct a misconception, though of course no amount of art obligates someone to stay in a relationship.

"Which btw isn't the case (just Cinderella is about me)."

She emphasizes that she was Mac's girlfriend.

"I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be."

She was also not his nurse or his therapist.

She says that she's careda bout his health and well being, starting long before they were dating.

"I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety and prayed for his balance for years."

She clarifies that their breakup doesn't change her desire for him to be happy and healhty.

"(And always will, of course)"

Ariana Grande epic clapback

She continues, however.

"But shaming and blaming women for a man's inability to keep his s--t together is a very major problem."

There is so much of that in the world.

"Let's please stop doing that."

Keep in mind that some have tried to blame one of the victims for last week's Sante Fe High School shooting because she rebuffed the shooter's sexual harassment.

"Of course I didn't share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was."

Most people in relationships don't tell you what it was really like while it's happening. That absolutely applies to people who are dating people with substance abuse issues.

"I will continue to pray from the bottom of my heart that he figures it all out."

She is such a sweetheart.

"And that any other woman in this position does as well."

She ends her epic shutdown with a simple outline of a heart.

Fan apologizes to Ariana Grande

The person who posted the original tweet wrote up a lengthy response, saying:

"I'm really sorry this is something you took the time to read and that upset you enough to make such a thoughtful reply."

"I know nothing about your relationship and the heartache you both feel."

"I in no way think you are the cause of Mac's shortcomings. We all have our demons to keep at bay, and I truly worry about his well being."

"I am very sorry I hurt you and I'm sorry you feel my tweet stigmatizes women for ending a toxic relationship. That wasn't my intention at all."

Ariana Grande at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards

It's safe to say that most people who write about a celeb without actually using their Twitter handle or any tags don't expect an interaction.

When there is a response, it's usually in the form of a "like" or perhaps a heart emoji, because most people have positive things to say.

There is no way that this person was expecting Ariana to see their post. They weren't trying to be cruel, they were just placing blame in the wrong place.

And we think that they learned their lesson.

Ariana is such a strong voice and such an inspiration. She's the hero that this world needs.

Katie Hopkins: ROASTED on Twitter After Dissing Meghan Markle!

Fans all over the world watched Prince Harry and Meghan Markle exchange vows.

But after the Royal Wedding came the Royal Wedding dress debate -- with fans wondering who wore it better.

Political hack Katie Hopkins weighed in, saying that it was no contest ... because Duchess Kate had, in her opinion, a degree of "class" that Duchess Meghan does not possess.

That's not a suprising comment from Katie, given that MegMar is biracial and Katie seems to spend a great deal of her waking hours focused on an apparent hatred for brown people.

Naturally, Twitter enjoyed ridiculing Katie Hopkins for her comments, and made something of a meme out of pointing out that Katie looks terrible for her age.

Now, there's a big of moral complication any time that you insult someone's appearance.

Ridicule Trump for his appearance instead of his words and deeds, and an innocent Jersey Shore denizen might feel self-conscious for being orange.

But we think that some of these epic burns are worth reading.

And Katie Hopkins, of all people, truly deserves to be roasted. Check out the tweets below and you'll see that for yourself.

1. Meghan Markle looked gorgeous

Meghan markle wedding close up
We know that beauty is "subjective" or whatever, but she is stunningly beautiful, and she looked absolutely stunning for the Royal Wedding. Except, apparently, to Katie Hopkins ...

2. Katie Hopkins cannot resist stirring the pot

Katie hopkins twitter shaming 01
She's awful every day of the week, but we wonder if she wishes that she'd taken the Royal Wedding off

3. The tweet replies began ...

Katie hopkins twitter shaming 02 43 going on
As you're about to be made very well aware, Katie Hopkins does not look like your average 43-year-old.

4. It really WAS a fairytale wedding

Katie hopkins twitter shaming 03 apple
Honestly, this comparison is very unfair to the Evil Queen.

5. Here's one possible explanation

Katie hopkins twitter shaming 04 roald
Like we said, shaming a person's appearance is complicated, even when they're a despicable human being. But some really do believe that being bigoted and hateful ages a person.

6. She's compared to Gabrielle Union

Katie hopkins twitter shaming 05 gabrielle union
Gabrielle really is 45 years old. Katie Hopkins is 43.

Yanny vs. Laurel Debate SOLVED! Who Was Right?!

By now, you've heard the infamous Yanny or Laurel video for yourself. At the very least, you've heard the debate.

It's The Dress all over again, but this time it's people's sense of hearing that's turning husband against wife and sister against brother.

But, as is the case with most things, there is a correct answer.

Team Yanny or Team Laurel

#Yannygate, which no one is calling this, involves a single audio clip played in a video.

Some people hear "Yanny." Others hear "Laurel."

Others hear both.

(For me, I heard "Yanny" in a high pitched voice, but when I brought my phone closer to my hear, I heard "Laurel" clearly in a deep voice, and I can no longer hear "Yanny")

People are joking about this being grounds for divorce, and respond with shock and disbelief that anyone could hear anything but what they themselves are hearing.

But there is a correct answer.

ear from ig

The voice is saying "Laurel." Officially.

As with so many social ills, this one originates on reddit.

A redditor by the name of RolandCamry made a recording of the robotic pronunciation of "Laurel" from

He says that, because he recorded the audio off of his speakers, there is a distortion that creates the auditory peculiarity.

Speaking to TMZ, RolandCamry says that the "Yanny vs Laurel" debate originated when he played the recording for his friend, who heard "Yanny."

They then decided to broadcast this peculiar audio clip to find out what others hear.

yanny v laurel acoustic similarities

The words "Laurel" and "Yanny" have very similar acoustic qualities.

If you're wondering why people hear it differently, there are a couple of factors.

One, different people played the audio on different devices under different circumstances.

Do you ever switch a song from one device to another and suddenly it sounds clearer (or like crap)? That difference can radically alter your perceptions.

Two, different people hear things differently and process auditory information differently. In fact, people's senses can vary a great deal without realizing it.

Age is even a factor. Those with "younger" ears are more likely to hear "Yanny," which is at a higher pitch. Those with "older" ears are more likely to hear "Laurel."

yanny v laurel pitch shift

Three is that our brains work based on efficiency rather than accuracy.

If you already "know" what you're hearing, that is what you're likely to hear.

Which is why some people heard both, and had to process the audio over multiple listens before they heard it differently.

This is a similar phenomenon to how one might hear song lyrics.

Once you read that Rihanna sings "so if you must falter, be wise," your mind is less likely to process the audio as "Caligula, salsa, beehive."

So, there you have it.

Congratulations to Team Laurel. You guys were right.

Congratulations to Team Yanny. You guys have younger ears, for whatever that's worth.

Pink DESTROYS Twitter Troll Who Said She Looks Old

Pink is not here to listen to haters, and she has never balked at speaking her mind.

When a troll decided to claim that she looks distractingly old, Pink roasted that troll on Twitter.

But, interestingly, just weeks after being named most beautiful woman in the world, she doesn't necessarily disagree with the person's opinion. Take a look:

Pink Takes Her Baby on a Walk

Someone on the interwebs decided to diss the 38-year-old singer in a tweet ... and, in the process, appeared in Pink's Twitter mentions.

"Wow Pink looks so old that she should be named Purple instead."

That's one of those lines that feels like a sick burn unless you think about it ... at all.

(Why is purple somehow older than pink? What does this person know about colors that we do not?)

Pink saw this and decided to call out the hater with a tweet of her own.

"You must be from la," she writes.

Los Angeles has a reputation for an intense preoccupation with certain beauty ideals, including youth and fitness. It's not just Hollywood, either.

"Well, there are a few people left in the world that choose to age naturally."

To be clear, natural aging can be fast or slow, depending upon factors like childhood, genetics, sun exposure, becoming a parent, and facial expressions.

Pink, Before the Game

Pink continues to roast her hater, writing:

"And I’ve earned every f--king minute of my 38 years."

She has led and continues to lead a very full life.

Then, she turns the tables.

"How you lookin though?"

She points out that it is easy to ridicule and attack famous people -- and that her hater is nothing of the sort.

"Cause I never heard of ya til you put my name in your mouth."

She decides on a name for the person who decided to ridicule her looks in her own mentions.

"I shall call you little purple troll."

Pink GIF

Pink put up a follow-up tweet for her followers, speaking much more generally.

"I am of the mindset that it’s a blessing to grow old."

Well ... I personally would agree that it is a blessing to live a long time. Forever, ideally.

But Pink says that the physical signs of aging are a badge of pride.

"That if your face has lines around your eyes and mouth it means you’ve laughed a lot."

It certainly does. In fact, some actors find that their faces age prematurely because they spend every day at work making facial expressions on camera instead of staring into a screen with resting b--chface.

Pink says that she eagerly anticipates new signs of aging.

"I pray I look older in 10 years."

That sounds like an odd statement coming from anyone over the age of 15, but Pink's next line may jar your sense of perspective.

"'Cause that will mean I’m alive."

Pink at the VMAs

Fans cheered her on, with one writing.

"Cant wait to see you when you’re 80."

They hope that she'll still be doing shows as an octegenarian in the year 2060.

"And if you’re still doing aerial stunts, all the better."

Pink responded, delighted.

"You know I will!"

She even has a name in mind.

"I’ll call it 'the wrinkles and rolls tour.'"

Pink Wearing Fur Photo

Obviously, a lot of people have a lot of opinions about the hideous and agonizing process of aging, with many seeing it as a disease that impacts all humans that, they hope, will one day be cured.

But this story is not really about your stance on wrinkles or other cruel failures of the flesh.

This is a story about not being f--king rude to celebrities on Twitter.

Especially when your tweet will show up in their mentions.

Oh, and especially when it's Pink, who never hesitates to own pathetic trolls on Twitter.
