Caroline Flack Reportedly Treated By Paramedics & Spent Time With Friends The Night Before She Died

New details are beginning to surface about the circumstances surrounding Caroline Flack‘s tragic death.

As reported, the former Love Island TV host, 40, was found dead in her London apartment on Saturday, February 15.  According to the latest from Sky News and The Sun, paramedics were called to her home the night before she died by apparent suicide.

The outlets say two paramedic crews reportedly assessed the situation at Flack’s residence on Friday night before deciding she did not need hospital treatment and was fit to be left at home.

A London Ambulance Service spokesperson also spoke to People and confirmed they responded to a call shortly after 10:30 p.m. on February 14 at a residential property in London but declined to add any additional information:

“We were called shortly after 22:30 on 14 February to a residential property on Northwold Road, N16. Crews attended and, following a clinical assessment, the person was not taken to hospital. Due to patient confidentiality, we cannot comment further.”

The Sun also writes that Lou Teasdale, a hair stylist and close friend of Caroline’s, was staying with her the night before she passed. The 36-year-old volunteered to check-in after friends and family had reportedly been concerned over Flack’s well-being. Teasdale remained at her gal pal’s home until about 9:30 a.m. on Saturday when she left to go to visit some shops nearby. Unfortunately, the ITV presenter’s body was found by a friend later that day.

A source who spoke to the outlet gave their account of what had transpired:

“Caroline had been unwell on Friday but by the time crews got there she was feeling much better and was coherent and responsive to them. She refused to go to hospital. Caroline was with Lou and other friends and so everyone was satisfied she would be OK.”

The insider also shared an update on how Teasdale has been handling shocking news:

“Lou then stayed overnight. She was absolutely brilliant with her. On Saturday morning Caroline insisted she was fine and persuaded her friend to go home. No one is blaming Lou for a second. She couldn’t have done any more. She is understandably distraught. It is so awful for her.”

This is all so, so sad.

The Flack family lawyer, Paul Morris, was the first to issue a statement to the public about Caroline’s apparent suicide on behalf of her surviving loved ones. At the time, he said:

“We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February. We would ask that the press both respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”

Months before taking her own life, the starlet stepped down from her hosting gig on the popular reality TV competition show to deal with assault charges against her following a December 2019 incident involving boyfriend Lewis Burton. Caroline initially pleaded not guilty to the charges and was set to begin trial proceedings this March.

In a separate follow-up with People, Morris declined to comment on his client’s legal troubles:

“I am utterly devastated at Caroline’s passing and cannot comment further about matters, including the criminal proceedings, at the moment. My thoughts are with Caroline’s family as we respect their privacy at this very sad and difficult time.”

Tributes have been pouring in left and right for Caroline, including a heartfelt message penned and shared by Burton on Instagram. ITV has announced it will honor Flack’s memory during Monday night’s broadcast of Love Island.

Our thoughts remain with friends, family, fans, and loved ones affected by this sad news.
