Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo to Jill and Derick: Come Back to the Cult, Bishes!

It will continue to take a long time for Jill Duggar to fully deprogram from her family’s cult.

She has made a lot of progress, but there is more to come.

Not if her sister Jinger and Jinger’s husband Jeremy have anything to say about it, however.

They are both vocally hopeful that Jill will come back into the fold soon.

Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo spoke to Us Weekly about recently touching base with Jill and Derick.

“They’re working through some things,” Jeremy characterized.

He added: “We’re giving them their time to do that

“But,” Jeremy emphasized, “we’ve got a great relationship [with them].”

“You always hope that families are united,” he expressed.

“And, you know, the family is strong,” Jeremy continued.

Jeremy acknowledged: “There’s going to be difficulties in every family.”

“I think that’s part of being in the public eye,” he opined.

“So many families go through different issues,” Jeremy pointed out.

Jeremy noted that this happens “especially as children are growing [up].”

“And this family happens to be in the public spotlight,” he said of the Duggar clan.

“And so, they work through it,” Jeremy said.

Jeremy stressed that he and Jinger are “definitely hoping” that the Duggar family resolve things.

He is hopeful that they can get all of their drama “sorted out” eventually.

“We love them very much,” Jeremy stressed about Jill and Derick.

“And,” Jeremy added, “I know they love the family.”

This is when Jinger chimed in, echoing her husband’s optimism and sentiments.

Also, Jinger regularly video chats with Jill, making sure that their respective children can interact.

Jeremy and Jinger have 2-year-old Felicity and 4-month-old Evangeline.

Jill and Derick have Israel, 5, and Samuel, 3 years old.

At those ages, the cousins might not be playmates, but they should still know each other.

At present, Jill’s kids are isolated from most of their cousins.

Jill is not allowed to go to Jim Bob’s home unless he is there and gives permission.

This of course means that family gatherings exclude the Dillard family.

Part of this comes from a simple family feud.

Derick has revealed how Jim Bob received pay directly from TLC.

Though he gives many of his adult children money in order to control them, they never received wages from their reality TV work.

This was not a simple misunderstanding.

Jim Bob presented their reality careers as a sort of public ministry.

The idea was to advertise their fundamentalist lifestyle and make it seem normal to viewers.

However, there is more to this than money.

Jill was abused — physically, emotionally, and also sexually — as a child in the Duggar home.

She is currently in therapy (a fundamentalist no-no) as she recovers from the effects of all of this.

There is also more to this than Jill’s heartbreaking childhood trauma.

Though Jill and Derick are devout and very conservative Christians, they’re no longer doing things “the Duggar way.”

Their children’s entertainment can include “worldly” television and movies. Their kids are also in real schools.

Declaring Jill persona non grata in the Duggar household may have been the best thing for her.

But clearly, many in Jill’s family just want their sister back, to spend time with her again.

It’s unclear what it would take for Jim Bob to allow Jill around her family now that she has openly questioned his way of doing things.

Jill Duggar & Derick Dillard Haven’t Visited The Duggar Family Home In A ‘Couple Years’

Jill Duggar Dillard has been socially distancing herself from her big family long before the coronavirus pandemic. The 19 Kids and Counting alum confessed she hasn’t been to Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar‘s place, which fans know as “the big house,” in a couple of years, because, well, Jill’s fam can be a bit much. Jill Duggar: Jim Bob’s House Triggers My PTSD

When the world first learned about the Josh Duggar sex scandals, many critics of the Duggar clain hoped that the news would bring an end to Jim Bob’s ultra-lucrative media empire.

But against all odds, the Duggar money train kept chugging along, and Jim Bob successfully swept the his son’s sex crimes under the carpet.

Thankfully, one of Josh and Jim Bob’s victims is now speaking out and calling attention to the trauma those two men have caused.

Jill Duggar is no longer on speaking terms with her parents, which means she’s finally free to express herself as she sees fit.

And this freedom has deepened the divide, as Jill is finally free to share her feelings about the man who molested her (Josh) and the man who protected her molester (Jim Bob).

Along with her husband, Derick Dillard, Jill has been posting YouTube videos in which she speaks candidly about her troubled relationship with her birth family.

This week, a fan asked if Jill and Derick have returned to the Duggar “big house” in the months since Dillard’s feud with Jim Bob got them banned.

We already knew that the Dillards skipped this year’s holiday festivities as a result of bad blood within the family.

But now, it looks as though the couple has been steering clear of Jill’s childhood home for even longer than we realize.

“It’s been at least a few years,” Derick said in response to a fan’s query.

Asked if they’re ever invited to Duggar events, Jill clarified that they avoid the house by choice.

“It depends,” she replied. “Yes, [we’re invited to] a lot of events. It depends, though.”

“There’s a lot of triggers there,” Derick chimed in.

Jill did not disagree with her husband’s observation that she finds the household triggering.

“There’s some restrictions [about us going there], but also we just feel that, in this season of life, we have to prioritize our mental and emotional health, and our threshold—as we like to call it—is just a little bit lower in this season of life for us, with a lot going on in our own lives…” she said.

“Plus COVID makes it a lot harder with just trying to keep our circle smaller,” Jill added.

“We’d like for it not to stay that way but that’s where we are right now.”

The Duggars don’t believe in Covid, but the Dillards do, and they’ve been taking the necessary precautions.

However, it sounds like Jill and Derick will be keeping their distance even after the whole crew is vaccinated (assuming Jim Bob allows his kids to be vaccinated).

From there, Jill and Derick continued to go against the Duggar belief system by stating that if they ever have a daughter, they will prepare her to enter the workforce and be independent.

“Yes, that’s important whether you have a son or a daughter,” Derick said. “I think we’ve raised [both of our sons] to be as independent as possible.

“We don’t want, like, 30-year-old kids living in our basement and not being productive,” he added.

“Even if you want to be a stay-at-home mom, that’s great. But if your spouse dies, and you’re left in the situation where you need to have more flexibility. It’s helpful having tools in your toolbelt to get done what you need to get done,” Derick said.

“Or if you want to be a working mom, or working wife with no kids…you don’t want to raise somebody to be reliant on anyone,” Jill said.

“It’s good to have a healthy level of independence.”

As The Ashley’s Reality Roundup points out, that comment could be interpreted as an insult to Jana Duggar, who’s currently 31, unemployed, and living at home with her parents.

But hey, if there’s any truth to the rumors about Jana being courted by Stephen Wissman, she could be the next Duggar daughter to be set free!

And we just can’t wait to hear what she’ll have to say about life under the Jim Bob regime!

Derick Dillard: I Had to Fill Out 423-Question Application Before Jim Bob Would Let Me Court Jill!

One of the most heavily-scrutinized aspects of life in the Duggar clan is the courtship process by which young people find suitable spouses.

Casual dating, premarital sex, and divorce are all forbidden in the Duggars’ world, so there’s a lot riding on every courtship.

Despite all that, the process moves fast — very fast.

Often, Duggars get engaged just a few weeks after they begin courting, and they’re married a few weeks after that.

So perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise that the family has its mate selection protocol down to a science.

Believe it or not, the process involves a written application that’s designed by Jim Bob to help weed out the losers and ensure that his grandkids are bred from only the best stock.

We sincerely wish we were joking/

As you might expect, the whole thing is intensely creepy.

Check out some of the more bizarre highlights from the list of 423 questions (!!!) that are presented to potential Duggar suitors.

It’s believed that both male and female courtship partners are forced to fill out the questionnaire, and of course, the responses are reviewed by the all-powerful shot-caller himself, James Robert Duggar.

Somehow, this family keeps getting weirder by the day.

1. Derick Spills the Tea

Jill duggar and derick dillard back in arkansas
As you’re probably aware, Derick Dillard has been feuding with Jim Bob Duggar for quite some time now. It’s a messy situation, but on the bright side, it’s yielded some interesting revelations about life in the Duggar clan.

2. Going Back to the Archives

Of course, as some fans recently realized, Derick has been taking shots at Jim Bob for quite some time now. Take, for example, the Counting On episode in which Dillard spoke out about the infamous Courtship Questionnaire.

3. Bonding Brothers-In-Law

Jinger duggar and jeremy vuolo in 2021
At the time that the episode was filmed, Jeremy Vuolo was still courting Jinger Duggar, and Derick shocked him with an unexpected question.

4. Truth or Der

Derick asked Jeremy if he had been “drill[ed]” on his “financial situation” by Jim Bob, adding that such questions can be found “on the 45-page application,” he said. “Page 27, section B, line four.”

5. Jim Bob In the Middle

It might sound like Der and Jer were just having a laugh at Jim Bob’s expense, but it turns out the application is not only real — it’s also much longer than they described.

6. Does the Fun Ever Start!

Around that time, there was a disagreement about the length of the application. Jessa Duggar claimed it’s only 30 pages, while Jeremy said that he “got sent a 50-page questionnaire.” It turns out, the current model clocks in at 423 questions — and we have all the highlights below!

Derick Dillard Claps Back at Joy-Anna Duggar: You’ve Been Brainwashed By Jim Bob!

Well, it looks like the ongoing feud between Jill Duggar and her parents has now developed into an all-out war!

The situation escalated earlier this week, when Joy-Anna Duggar seemed to throw major shade at Jill by “liking” a comment in which Jill and husband Derick Dillard were attacked by a random Instagram user.

The remark was posted on the Duggar and Bates Confessions Instagram page, and apparently it met with Joy’s approval:

Jill and Joy

“I realize Jill Duggar needs to distance herself from her family for mental health reasons, but I don’t understand why they need to make their issues with the family public,” the Instagram user wrote.

“Speaking out against them publicly will burn more bridges between them,” the comment continued.

“They say they want to repair their relationship one day, but their actions don’t reflect that.”

Shockingly, the commenter went on to accuse Jill of making money from the feud with her family, even though there’s no reason to believe she’s made a dime from it.

“If I have an issue with my family, I deal with it privately,” this person wrote.

“And I certainly don’t bank on it by going to media outlets and YouTube to air out the dirty laundry.”

To make matters worse, this person concluded by alleging that Jill has abandoned the ideals of her faith, which is the ultimate low blow for any Duggar.

“It’s not very Christian if you ask me. I get the sense that Jill and Derick need money, and this is an easy route to get that money,” the commenter wrote.

Fans were absolutely floored by Joy’s endorsement of the comment, and many interpreted it as a clear message about where she stands in regard to Jill’s rebellion against Jim Bob.

Jill chose not to her involve herself in the drama, but fortunately, Derick jumped in on her behalf.

“Jim Bob [Duggar] is that you?” one commenter asked, according to In Touch,

“I don’t think ANY of us can judge how Jill is handling her family drama when it’s clear she had a traumatic childhood.”

“She was mentally and emotionally abused her whole life and brainwashed using God. That’s my thoughts … good for Jill. Air that s–t out, girl … you deserve to be heard!” a second person remarked.

“The parents made millions by putting Jill’s life and the other kids‘ lives out for everyone to see … Jill had a right to talk about all the things she went through as a child and even as an adult,” a third chimed in.

“People who’ve been abused and faced trauma should never be silenced. Sometimes you have to burn bridges to protect yourself from abusers,” a fourth person wrote.

Needless to say, the people were very much on Jill’s side — and so was her husband.

Derick “liked” all four of those comments.

In doing so, he let Joy know exactly how he feels without saying a word.

The Dillards seem to have become masters of such ingeniously shady moves in recent months.

Earlier this week, Jill revealed that she’s teaching her kids about sex so that they don’t fall victim to molesters.

Many who read her latest interview with Us Weekly interpreted her remarks as a subtle way of addrsessing the Josh Duggar sex scandals and the fact that her parents helped to hide the abuse she endure in her youth.

“We definitely want our kids also to have the ability to protect themselves,” Jill said.

“In our bathroom, we have a little sign, “My Body Rules.” If there’s a babysitter here in our home, they’re gonna see that too,” she said.

Clearly, Jill is still affected by the trauma that she suffered in her youth, and she probably will be for the rest of her life.

It’s enough to make you wish those commenters had been a bit more harsh toward the person who had the audacity to tell Jill how she should feel about her parents and her childhood.

Jill Duggar, Derick Dillard Explain Baby-Making to Their Kids: We Rail Each Other So Hard!

As we’ve discussed many times in the past, the Duggars are obsessed with sex.

In their youth, when they’re single, abstinence and the fear of temptation dominate their every waking hour.

But once they get married, they want the whole world to know they’re smashing their naughty bits into their partner’s on a nightly basis.

Watching a couple of married Duggars spend time together is like watching high school kids on a first date.

The conversation is almost as awkward as the groping and fumbling, but they seem to have no idea how cringe the whole spectacle is.

And sadly, it seems that Duggars who have been disowned by their parents are no less awkward than the ones who are still allowed at family gatherings.

As you’re probably aware, Jill Duggar has cut ties with her folks, and she seems happier than ever as a result.

But even though the newly-liberated Jill drinks alcohol and hangs out with other black sheep who have earned a place on Jim Bob’s sh-t list, she’s still a Duggar.

And that means she talks about sex constantly, but not very knowledgeably, kinda like that kid from Kindergarten Cop who kept saying, “Boys have a penis; girls have a vagina.”

Anyway, now that she and Derick no longer appear on Counting On, Jill is paying the bills with lots of sponsored content.

This week, she’s shilling an app called “Intimately Us,” which Jill describes as “definitely designed for married couples” — in other words, it’s for people who are allowed to bone without condemning themselves to the eternal torments of hell.

The Ashley, of The Ashley’s Reality Roundup fame, has summarized Jill and Derick’s 37-minute (!!!) YouTube infomercial and, boy, is it a doozy.

And unfortunately, the highlights include an awkward convo involving the couple’s kids.:

Thigs started out innocently enough, when Jill announced that she and Derick are heading out on a “progressive date.”

That might sound like they’ll be joined by AOC and Flo, but to hear Jill describe it, a progressive date is one in which you stop “four or five different places.”

Well, we guess if you’re not worried about DUIs or carbon footprints, you can go ahead and spend your whole damn date night driving around.

Anyway, Jill and Der decided to bring their kids along, and because the date was sponsored by a sex app (for married people only!!!), it wasn’t long before the conversation shifted to how babies are made.

Jill explained that both of the boys began “growing inside mommy’s tummy” after one of mom and dad’s date nights.

She stressed that the blessed event occurred after “a bunch of dates,” but then Der had to go and mess up the wholesome vibe by telling his kids about the time he and Jill had four “dates” in one day.

Jill got embarrassed and instructed Derick to “just chill a little bit,” but there’s pretty much no way the kids are forgetting that moment.

Especially since the sex talk didn’t end there.

Jill informed viewers that she and Derick “have a great sex life,” which led him to defend his previous statement by shouting, “At least I used the word ‘date’ instead of the S-word.”

But seriously, Der, chill out.

Then the Dillards listened to sexpert chat on their Intimately app while the kids sat in the backseat and fantasized about their future therapy appointments.

This has been your daily episode of The Duggars: WTF Is Wrong With Them?!

Jessa Duggar: Derick Dillard Is a LIAR! He WAS Invited to Christmas!

Earlier this month, the Duggars celebrated Christmas the same way they do everything else:

In large numbers, and with an ignorant disregard for how anyone else in the world might be affected by their actions.

The Duggar Christmas party attracted negative press for all kinds of reasons, not the least of which was that the Duggars gathered in a group with no concern for social-distancing and not a mask in sight.

Maybe they decided to celebrate the birth of their savior by sending a few people to the afterlife, of maybe they just believe the coronavirus is a hoax.

This is Jim Bob Duggar we’re talking about, so neither explanation would surprise us.

Another major reason that the party drew so much attention was Jim Bob and Michelle’s insistence on making out the entire time.

This might not have been so weird, were it not for the fact that everyone was stone sober, and their kids watched and cheered them on. Icky, no?

Anyway, believe it or not, this family holiday party in Northwest Arkansas (or “NWA” as the Duggars obliviously refer to it) has now sparked a third mini-scandal.

This one involves the absence of Jill Duggar and her husband, Derick Dillard.

If you’re a follower of the Counting On clan, then you’re probably aware that Derick has been feuding with Jim Bob for quite some time now.

The situation is so bad that Jill has reportedly cut off contact with much of her family.

Some fans speculated that Derick and Jill were invited, but chose not to attend.

One decided to go straight to the source and ask Derick, who was quick to set the record straight:

“No, we were not invited or told about it,” he responded.

Now, that’s a pretty serious accusation, as it shifts the blame for the Duggar Civil War toward Jim Bob and Michelle.

Not surprisingly, Jim Bob has remained mum on the subject.

In fact, he really hasn’t said a word about his feud with Derick the entire time it’s been going on.

But when a fan asked Jessa Duggar about the situation on her YouTube page, Jill’s younger sister gave a very different account of how it all went down.

“How is that a Duggar family Christmas, when your sister and your brother-in-law are not there because your family has ostracized them?” the fan asked

They probably didn’t expect a reply to such a personal question that broaches such a touchy subject.

But remarkably, Jessa was quick to offer her side of the story

“Nobody is ostracized,” she wrote.

“The Dillard[s] were invited, but chose to celebrate the holiday with Derick’s family.”

There’s not a lot of room for interpretation here, as both sides are claiming to present the incontrovertible facts of the situation.

That means that someone here is flat-out lying.

So has Jill joined the Dark Side and teamed up with Jim Bob and Michelle?

Or is she simply trying to keep up appearances in the hope that both sides will eventually work this thing out?

We don’t know — but Derick has been remarkable candid throughout this ordeal.

And something tells us Jim Bob is not the type to reach out and extend an olive branch.

Jill Duggar’s Husband Derick Dillard Reveals REAL Reason The Family Marries Young!

Derick Dillard is telling it like it is! The Counting On alum got uncharacteristically NSFW(-ish) in response to a follower who asked why the infamous Duggar family marries at such a young age — a question the conservative family undoubtedly gets asked all the time. The question came up after Derick’s wife, Jill Duggar Dillard, […]
