Dog the Bounty Hunter may be engaged to another woman, but his heart is still with his late wife Beth Chapman as he celebrates their wedding anniversary. The 67-year-old reality star (real name Duane Chapman) took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a photo (above) of himself and Beth, who […]
Less than 11 months after the passing of his beloved wife, Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman is engaged to his new love.
Now, he is opening up about his fiancee, their relationship, and how the late, great Beth would feel about the engagement.
Duane spoke to TMZ Live about his engagement news.
“For a living, she’s a rancher,” Duane notes, speaking of fiancee Francie Frane.
“And,” he adds, “she recently lost her husband to cancer six months before I lost Beth Chapman.”
Beth passed away in June of 2019 after a lengthy battle with throat cancer.
“So we hopped on the phone, started talking to each other, crying and consoling each other,” Duane describes.
“And then,” he recalls, “one thing led to another.”
“And it’s just incredible that I’ve been able to meet someone like her,” the reality star gushes.
Sometimes, people whose grief might have kept them from moving on can instead use it to bond and forge a happier future.
“With Francie, I’m allowed to speak about Beth,” Duane affirms.
He adds that “we speak about her husband.”
“We cry,” Duane shares. “We hold each other.”
Emotional support is exactly what they need, not demands that they bury all talk of their ex.
Duane adds that, as he has admitted in the past, he cried “every single day” after Beth’s tragic death.
“I am a fixer,” Duane characterizes hmself.
He adds that “I have to catch bad guys.”
“I got to be at the top of my game,” Duane expresses.
Duane shares that, in his opinion, “I can’t feel sorry for myself or guilty.”
“I got to go out there and make a difference,” he adds.
“That’s what I do for a living,” Duane states, “so I’ve got to man up.”
Of Francie, he adds: “She helps me do that.”
Duane also speaks, in a roundabout way, of how Beth Chapman might feel about this engagement.
“As far as my gene pool, I think she would approve,” he expresses.
Duane muses: “I didn’t have ranchers in my gene pool.”
I am genuinely curious as to what Duane thinks that a gene pool is.
“I don’t know if Beth even knows,” Duane adds.
He adds of his late wife: “She’s kicking around with the angels.”
“She’s all happy,” Duane concludes, admitting: “I don’t know if she knows.”
A lot of religious and spiritual beliefs include the deceased observing their loved ones, either as ghosts or from a separate afterlife.
Beth told Duane before she died that she did not want him to “replace” her.
That was not necessarily a command for him to remain single for life, however.
Different loved ones and yes, different partners and spouses, can fill different niches in one’s life and emotional well-being.
Presumably, each of Duane’s wives have had a distinct role in his life. Like with polyamorous relationships, but not all at once.
Duane’s last reported relationship did not go over well with his family.
Moon Angell, who had been a longtime employee of his and Beth’s, seemed to be “replacing” Beth in his life.
In contrast, his family has vocally endorsed his romance with Francie Frane.
It sounds like they are really good for each other, even if no one will ever replace Beth.
Wedding bells are once again ringing for Dog the Bounty Hunter. The reality star has had a tough year after the passing of his beloved wife Beth Chapman, but things are looking up now that he has a new woman in his life. Not long after he began dating Francie […]

As we previously reported, Dog’s Most Wanted star Duane Chapman and his girlfriend cannot stup gushing over each other.
Now, the bounty hunter and the rancher are piling on the PDA while affirming that their live was a divine gift.
Francie Frane took to Instagram to share this cozy photo.
“Out enjoying today’s beautiful weather with Lola the bulldog,” she captions the image.
“We walk by faith,” Francie proclaims, “not by sight.”
She then adds that she and Duane are “living our lives in a manner consistent with our confident belief in God’s promises.”
“I scream & Cry,” Duane writes in a post of his own beside a photo of Francie.
He reveals that he finds himself lamenting: “Beth where are you why did you leave me.”
“Then,” Duane’s very emotionally raw caption continues, “I look up & see you Francie & the pain turns to a smile”
“I LOVE YOU WOMAN !!” he declares at Francie.
“Isaiah 61:3 To bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning,” Francie wrote in another post.
She continued: “And a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair.”
“@duanedogchapman I love you,” Francie affirmed.
She has been sharing journal entries of hers in which she gushes about her faith (she is a Christian) and about Duane.
“You never know how strong you are until strong is the only choice you have,” Francie observed.
“So,” she continued, “you cling to God and to his word with all your might because it’s all you know to do.”
“Then one day,” Francie recaled, “I looked up from the ashes and there you stood. Wow God!”
That is very sweet, and you can see how closely their expressions of love and faith mirror and intertwine.
“What we thought was the end has become just the beginning!” Francie declared in a journal entry.
She is referring of course to how she and Duane first got to talking.
Duane lost his wife, Beth Chapman, in June of 2019 after a lengthy, agonizing battle with throat cancer.
He was, of course, devastated, and lapsed into mourning.
Well, months went by. Eventually, Duane needed to have some work done on his property, so he called up someone who had done that work before.
Francie Frane answered the phone, and had to deliver the bad news — she herself had been widowed just months before Beth passed away.
Her husband was unavailable for the work, but she and Duane got to talking.
Over their many talks, they shared their grief, their coping mechanisms, and bonded over their mutual losses … and the many things that they have in common.
Grief is painful, complex, and different for everyone.
That Duane and Francie were both able to build a relationship out of their shared state of mourning is wonderful for them both.
Duane’s family have also spoken out, giving the romance their seal of approval — difficult to come by when the family is in mourning, too.
We wish Duane and Francie the best as they continue to bond and heal from their respective losses.
Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman has a new girlfriend after losing his late wife, Beth, to cancer in June of 2019.
On social media, she is gushing about her belief that God brought them together after they both lost their spouses.
“So excited for this new chapter!” Francie Frane, a rancher, captioned this photo of her with Duane Chapman.
After fans (and Duane’s own family) showered her with an outpouring of good wishes and praise, she replied.
“Thank you all so much for all the encouraging comments,” Francie wrote on Instagram this week.
She affirmed that “Dog [and] I appreciate it so much.”
She then shared her sincerely held religious belief as to how she and Duane had found each other just months after each losing their spouse.
“We know God brought us together,” Francie expressed.
“And,” she emphasized, “have no doubts about that AT ALL!!”
Many of the congratulatory comments had included statements that, surely, this romance was divinely ordained.
Clearly, Francie agrees.
“God has brought two people who walked a treacherous road together,” she wrote.
“And,” Francie continued, “shown us LOVE is possible again.”
Duane has never made any secret that he is a devout Christian, and it is abundantly clear that Francie is cut from the same cloth.
“And as wonderful, loving, and kind as you all think Dog is,” Francie informed her newfound fans and followers.
She revealed: “HE IS [AND] MORE!!”
“I LOVE YOU DUANE LEE,” Francie gushed in all caps.
We are glad that these two likeminded people could find and love each other as they both cope with unthinkable losses.
Duane and Beth were married for many years before Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer.
She fought the cancer, undergoing surgery. Unfortunately, the cancer returned.
This time, she opted to forego painful treatments that might only prolong the inevitable.
In June of 2019, she passed away. Duane was absolutely devastated.
Duane’s grief sent him spiraling for months, at times even impacting his health for the worse.
His longtime employee, Moon Angell, moved in with him in an effort to help him recover.
However, Moon was excoriated by Duane’s family, who perceived her as taking advantage of him and trying to replace Beth.
She had removed Beth’s belongings from Beth’s closet … and replaced them with her own.
Duane repeatedly defended her, claiming that he had asked her to exchange these items to help him with his mourning.
However, the perception from his family members was that Moon had always wanted to hitch herself to the family, officially.
After a lot of speculation, one of Duane’s daughters’ arrest after a family squabble, and even a (fake) proposal, Moon moved out.
Now, however, his family is much more approving of his real, confirmed romance with Francie.
Francie is a rancher whose husband used to do work for Duane from time to time.
Last year, he called the Frane residence to see if he could hire him once again. Francie answered.
It turned out that her husband had passed away just a few months before Beth’s tragic death.
The two bonded over their shared grief, but eventually, that blossomed into something new.

The post Dog The Bounty Hunter’s Daughters Are Defending His New Relationship! appeared first on Perez Hilton.
Earlier this year, Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman reconciled with his family after a woman in his life nearly tore them all apart.
Now, Duane is dating a new woman, but his family is giving her nothing but priase and their warmest endorsement.
Francie Frane is a 51-year-old rancher from Colorado.
A few months ago, Duane called Bob — Francie’s husband — to do some yard work at his Colorado home.
Francie had to awkwardly break the news to Duane that Bob had passed away last year.
In fact, Bob died just a few months before Duane’s late wife, Beth.
The two then began speaking to each other over the phone, bonding over their struggles to cope after losing their respective spouses.
From there, they began dating, and have been dating for a few “months.” How do we know about all of this?
Despite the previous family feud, Duane has reconciled with his adult daughter, Lyssa Chapman.
And it was Lyssa who opened up to The Sun about Duane’s new romance, and she has a lot to say.
“They are both so happy together,” Lyssa reveals.
“And,” she characterizes, “they are good for each other.”
“Francie has been very respectful to all the kids – and to Beth’s memory,” Lyssa adds.
“And,” she adds, “my dad is the same way with Bob and their children.”
“They go to church three times a week,” Lyssa shares.
That tells us that they share specific religious values (also I did not know that churches were open that often; live and learn!).
“And dad is trying to give up smoking,” she reveals. That’s fantastic news!
Lyssa opines: “She is a good woman for my dad.”
“He’s the happiest I’ve seen him in a long time,” Lyssa reveals.
“He’s so in love,” she expresses, “and wants to spend the rest of his life with Francie.”
“They are both lost their spouses to cancer,” Lyssa observes.
“So,” she says, “they know what i’s like to go through that and they are helping each other through it.”
“But at the same time they are being very respectful of each other’s grieving process,” Lyssa emphasizes.
“And,” she clarifies, “they’re not trying to replace each other’s partner.”
“Beth would approve,” Lyssa expresses.
“I honestly believe that Beth sent Francie for my dad,” she states.
Lyssa, pictured here, is clearly giving Francie a ringing endorsement.
“I feel like Beth and Bob are up there watching down over them,” she expresses.
That is so sweet.
It also contrasts strongly with her feelings about the previous woman in Duane’s life, Moon Angell.
Lyssa was not the only member of the family to speak out publicly when she felt that Duane’s longtime employee was taking advantage of him.
When Lyssa says that Francie isn’t trying to replace Beth, that was a clear reference to Moon.
Lyssa’s objections caused a temporary falling out with her father, but that seems to have been resolved now.
If everyone else approves of Francie as strongly as Lyssa does, this relationship will be much less turbulent.
Dog’s Most Wanted star Duane Chapman is not dating Moon Angell and acknowledges that the thought of him dating again is hurting his family.
In a new interview, he talks about grieving Beth eight months later and how he regrets proposing to Moon.
Duane “Dog The Bounty Hunter” Chapman sat down for a lengthy interview with Entertainment Tonight‘s Kevin Frazier.
“Oh, I miss her,” he laments, speaking of the late Beth Chapman, who passed away in June after a battle with cancer.
“Eight months,” Duane ramearks. “That’s the worst part, it seems like yesterday.”
“And they say ‘time heals all wounds,'” he observes. “No, it doesn’t.”
Duane notes that he misses “her comments, her touch, her smell.”
“Her encouragement,” he continues, “her, ‘I am going to hire a real bounty hunter if you don’t catch this guy.'”
Some would consider that negging or even toxic, but different couples have different love languages.
Duane adds: “Her teasing me, her [saying], ‘We say the blessing before we eat.'”
Duane admits that he is reluctant to admit it “because I am such a macho, macho man.”
“But she was the glue that held my family together,” he characterizes.
“So now I got to redo it and restaple everybody,” Duane says, “and we are all kind of brawling right now.”
Indeed, last month his adult daughter Lyssa was arrested during a family spat.
The idea of Duane’s next romantic venture has his family split at the seams.
“Well, the girls are very upset because of other girls I’d be looking at,” Duane shares.
He says: “Or they may say, ‘Dad, they just like you because you are Dog the Bounty Hunter. They don’t like you because you are Dwayne or Dad.'”
“The boys are like, ‘Dad, you know, if you love them, if you like them, we are for you or whatever you decide,'” Duane reveals.
“I am very lonesome,” Duane confesses.
He says that he had turned to his assistant, Moon Angell, for emotional support because “she knew Beth.”
“And she talked about Beth constantly,” he explains, “‘Remember what Beth used to tell us,’ and of course I would light right up when she’d say that.”
“I was infatuated with a dream,” Duane poetically states.
“She still works for me, and takes care of the finances,” Duane announces regarding Moon.
But she no longer lives with him. Her belongings are no longer in Beth’s closet.
“I kind of embarrassed her a little bit,” he laments, “and I shouldn’t have.”
Duane is referring to when he asked for her hand in marriage on television.
“I swear on my mama and on Beth that [the Dr. Oz proposal] was not rehearsed,” Duane promises.
It did sound rehearsed, and so did Moon’s response, but you know what? Sometimes being on TV is just plain awkward.
He adds: “And you saw Dr. Oz was even like, ‘Oh my god.'”
“I knew I was gonna do it way before I done it,” Duane shares, “and I said, ‘This will stop these rumors.'”
“When I said it, I think I was about ready to cry,” Duane admits.
That was readily apparent.
He explains is reasoning: “but I knew that she would say no, and once she said no, that did it.”
“And 98 percent of the rumors went away,” Duane opines, “the lies went away.”
“Yes, I am going to be honest with you … I think I would have because it was more accessible,” Duane says of the idea of romancing Moon.
“‘No one will ever love you like Beth did,'” he says that she told him. “‘You better stop looking for that because there is no woman alive that will ever love you like that.'”
“When you lose a spouse, man or woman, you are looking for that again,” Duane expresses.
“So you look for that and for someone to tell you that,” he adds. “It kind of stopped me dead in my tracks.”
“I’m like, wow, so she’s kind of cold-blooded,” Duane says. “She knows how to stop me and that’s kind of a direct point.”
“It’s almost time” to start looking for a partner, he shares, but he doesn’t feel emotionally prepared.
“I can maybe go out with a girl and eat and date a little, if that’s a date?” Duane adds.
“Where, how, do you date today? I’ve forgotten!” he admits. Honestly? A lot of people feel that way.
On Valentine’s Day, Duane posted a tribute to Beth.
“How I wish upon a star where are YOU BETH WHERE ARE YOU !!” he wrote on Instagram.
Clearly, he needs to take his time and heal before he is ready to pour his heart and soul into a new relationship.
And quite frankly, it sounds like the whole family needs to heal.
