Jenelle Evans: Suck It, David, I’m Finally Happy!

Jenelle Evans doesn't feel like herself these days.

Or, at least, Jenelle Evans doesn't feel like the person you may have known her as over the past few years.

You know that person, right?

Evans was bitter, angry, defensive; just very rude overall, as quite a few Teen Mom fans can attest to based on her social media remarks and responses.

Now, however, the former MTV personality (who was finally fired from this franchise after her estranged husband confessed to killing her family's dog) is sounding very much like a changed person.

She's sounding, in fact, like a happy and confident person.

“Happy Thanksgiving,” the 27-year old Tweeted late last week in honor of the annual holiday, adding simply and revealingly:

“Thankful for the amazing kids I have and grateful for finally finding happiness within myself.”

Evans, of course, announced on October 31 that she was leaving David Eason after a marriage that produced one adorable child, two-year old Ensley.

But also one accusation of assault against Eason (bu Jenelle herself, let's never forget her 911 call that clearly cited David as her abuser) and one confirmed accusation of animal homicide against Eason.

The latter instance prompted Child Protective Services to take Jenelle's children away from her care for about one month this summer.

She claimed afterward that she was sticking by Eason despite their enormous problems -- but something changed come autumn.

'With time away from Teen Mom, I’ve started to look at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I’m starting that now,” Evans wrote on Instagram on October 31.

She continued at the time:

“The kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that’s what is best for me, and for my kids.

"Today I’ve filed papers to start that process. I appreciate the support from everybody who has asked how I am. Me and the kids are doing great.

"We need some time to be together, but you’ll hear from us again soon."

Jenelle Evans is Delusional

Since this confirmation went viral, Jenelle has remained mostly quiet, with the exception of two things:

  1. Upbeat, simple messages such as the one above.
  2. The filing of a restraining order against Eason in which she outlined 11 times he threatened and/or assaulted her.

To no one's surprise, Eason has taken the opposite approach.

He's released a video that appeared to be yet another threat directed at Jenelle, while also alleging that Evans is a bad person and irresponsible mother.

We've said both those things about her as well.

But we're not trying to prove ourselves worthy of time with our daughter.

We're also not violent bigots. That's another way in which we're different than David Eason.
