As you're no doubt aware Kylie Jenner welcomed her first child earlier this year.
For the most part, the public response has been favorable, with many applauding Kylie for devoting herself to the challenges of new motherhood, while simultaneously working her way toward becoming the world's youngest "self-made" billionaire.
Of course, as many have pointed out, Kylie would likely find both of those tasks considerably more difficult had she not been born into a life of unimaginable wealth and privilege.
And of course, Kylie is one of the most influential young women on the planet, so her unwillingness to acknowledge how incredibly fortunate she's been isn't just irritating -- it could be dangerous.
Many expect to see a rise in very young single mothers in the years to come as millions of teens seek to emulate their idol.
In something of an ironic twist, Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry is among those who has publicly acknowledged the ways in which Kylie's updates on motherhood could have a negative effect on her young fan base:
“When you’re that young and you have that much money and you’re able to kind of have a nanny and have a lot of help and you still do all these things," Kailyn said during a recent appearance on Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt's podcast.
Lowry went on to say that it's not her intention to “hate” or “mom-shame” Kylie.
Despite that clarification, however, many took issue with Kailyn's remarks.
"I swear most of these teen mom girls from the show think they invented the whole thing and are role models," wrote one Twitter user.
"Kailyn Lowry claiming Kylie Jenner is glamorizing teen pregnancy is weird coming from a girl who has literally been getting paid for having unprotected sex since she was a teenager using the money for plastic surgery," another tweeted.
"Kailyn should shut her mouth because we know DAMN WELL she’s been making more money than someone with a bachelors for YEARS all because she got pregnant at 16 & has 3 kids with 3 different men," remarked a third.
Yikes. Yes, the denizens of Twitter clearly have very strong opinions about this, and many of them are very, very pissed off.
But Kail has never been one to shy away from a conflict, so she clarified her intentions in a recent statement:
“I would not agree that our show makes it glamorous," Lowry sais.
"But situations like Kylie, they don’t realize that she has millions of dollars and she has a ton of help and she can go out and party and do all these things.”
For her part, Kylie has yet to react to Kail's comments.
But it looks as though her fans will continue doing the work for her in that regard.
