Prince Andrew Steps Down in Disgrace After Jeffrey Epstein Interview

This week, Prince Andrew finally addressed the Jeffrey Epstein scandal and his long time association with the infamous monster.

The interview did not go well -- at all. Now, Andrew is stepping down from his royal duties, and his family is breathing a sigh of relief.

In Touch Weekly reports that, according to an inside source close to the royals, Prince William and Duchess Kate are breathing a sigh of gratitude.

According to the insider, the royal couple are "relieved that Prince Andrew has stepped down."

"[They] think it was the right thing to do," the source explains.

Royal duties are extensive, but if you're deeply embroiled in an international scandal, any project that you touch becomes tainted.

"They were really concerned he’d make a bad situation worse," the insider explains.

The source elaborates by saying that the fear was that he would exacerbate the scandal "by continuing his royal duties."

Even as it is, William and Kate were both "mortified" by his callous, shameful interview.

In fact, the fact that he and Epstein ever rubbed elbows at all is enough to send a chill down everyone's spines.

"William and Kate can’t believe how foolish Andrew is to have associated himself with such a monster,” he source expresses.

“They said that from the beginning," the insider adds. "When news broke about the scandal,"

The source continues: "And are shocked by the way he conducted himself in the interview and his lack of remorse."

"They think he’s brought shame upon the family," the insider says. They think correctly.

Virginia Roberts, Prince Andrew

A woman named Virginia Roberts has come forward to allege that notorious monster Jeffrey Epstein trafficked her when she was a teenager.

She says that she was induced multiple times to have sex with Prince Andrew when she was only 17.

(It is important to note that the UK's age of consent being 16 is largely moot here, because we're talking about sex trafficking)

The Duke of York is ony one of many powerful men around the world who have been linked to Epstein.

During his infamous interview, Prince Andrew denied the allegations.

Andrew claimed that he had no recollection of even meeting the woman in question, despite photographic evidence to the contrary.

He also insisted that he did not regret his friendship with Epstein, on the grounds that he had met a lot of amazing people through him.

His one admission of regret was continuing this relationship after Epstein's conviction.

An insider explained that Andrew's intention in doing the interview was never to humiliate himself and his family.

Instead, he apparently believed that it would be "a chance to clear his name."

"The palace was in turmoil before the interview aired because of this scandal," an insider said.

The source added; "But now Andrew has made everything worse."

Epstein

“He should have known no good would come of this," the insider lamented at the time.

There will no doubt be years of investigations into the countless allegations against Epstien, to say nothing of his outrageously suspicious death.

Prince Andrew may be just one of many powerful men whose names and standing will be torn down when the truth is exposed.

Good irddance.
