“Let’s be very clear, as I told LAPD this afternoon, my client Curtis [50's real name] would never intentionally strike anyone with a microphone,” his lawyer Scott Leemon told Page Six. “Anyone saying something different doesn’t have all the facts and is misinformed.”
What happened?
The outlet noted that 50 had seemingly thrown a microphone in frustration after going through several that were broken during the show. It hit Bryhana Monegain, a radio host for Power 106, in the head, causing a laceration that bled. She reportedly told the police that the rapper “looked directly at her” before throwing the microphone, seemingly implying that he knew it might hit her.
The news comes a few days after 50 postponed another concert date due to extreme heat.
