It’s been five days since Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson broke up, and both parties still haven’t commented on the split publicly.
But just about everyone else on the planet has offered up a take on the situation!
Yes, much ink has been spilled on this topic with much of the commentary focused on why Kim and Pete broke up, and, of course, what will happen with these two next.
Many fans are hopeful that the exes will eventually find their way back to one another.
But we wouldn’t suggest holding your breath as you wait for a reconciliation, as it sounds like Kim and Pete have gone their separate ways for good.
“They’ve definitely been slowing down,” one insider tells People magazine.
“Things heated up quickly in the beginning when he could travel back and forth to see Kim and spend time with her, but his schedule has gotten so packed.”
Yes, as you’ve probably heard by now, the breakup happened while Pete was in Australia filming a new comedy with Orlando Bloom.
It seems that the couple thought they would be able to endure the challenges that come with living on opposite sides of the planet for three months, but in the end, it all got to be too much.
Sources say the romance gradually cooled off, and the eventual breakup did not come as a shock to either party.
“Pete is still super bummed, though, about the breakup,” says the insider.
“They really hit it off and had a ton of fun together, but it feels like it ran its course.”
The source goes on to say that while Kim and Pete parted ways on good terms, it seems unlikely that they’ll ever get back together.
“It was an amicable split. They had discussed ending their relationship for a bit. It wasn’t sudden,” explains the insider.
“And it was a mutual decision. Getting back together is not in the cards right now.”
Obviously, there’s always a chance that these two will try again at some later date.
But with how much they each have going on, it might be a while before they have the time and energy to attempt another long-distance relationship.
Kim is a mother of four, an aspiring lawyer, and mogul who personally oversees more than $1 billion worth of business interests.
Pete makes his home 3,000 miles away in NYC, and he’s currently one of the most sought-after young comedic talents on the planet.
They’re both wildly successful in their own right, and while that’s probably one of the things that drew them together, all of those pursuits no doubt made it difficult for Kim and Pete to make time for each other.
Perhaps one day their situation will be different.
But for now, at least, it’s good to know that these two will be able to remain friends.
