Aaron Carter‘s mother took to social media this week to reveal new pictures of the scene where the singer died at his Lancaster, California home last November.
Jane Schneck Carter posted a series of photos from the scene of Aaron’s passing on her Facebook account on Wednesday afternoon. In them, she shows never-before-seen images of the bathtub where Aaron died, as well as several towels on the floor near the scene.
She then used the photos and several other Facebook posts to argue Aaron was not the victim of an overdose, but a crime. And she’s begging for help investigating the situation from investigators, law enforcement officials, and even high-profile public figures like Nancy Grace.

First, the photos themselves. Jane showed a half-dozen pics of the bathroom where Aaron died. The pics do not show Aaron’s body. They also do not seem to show any cans of compressed air or other drug paraphernalia that had been allegedly found at the scene by first responders. In one snap, you can see the bathtub filled with water that has a green-yellow tint. More water is seen spilled on the bathroom tile in another one of the pics. Other pics show piles of towels both in the bathroom and near the toilet. The towels appear to have been used to clean up the messy water overflow. You can see the full set of new pictures HERE.
Along with the pictures, Jane shared her skepticism about the official report on Aaron’s death. As we’ve previously reported, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office did not find any water in the Aaron’s Party singer’s lungs at his autopsy. That has led them to hypothesize he died of an overdose while in the bathtub, rather than by drowning.
But that claim has never sat well with Aaron’s mourning mom. And now, she’s dead-set on finding her own answers. In the picture post published on Wednesday, Jane wrote she was “still trying to get a real investigation” into the former child star’s passing, and added:
“Still trying to get a real investigation for the death of my son Aaron Carter
I want to share these death scene photos with you all because the coroner wrote it off as an accidental drug overdose
They never investigated it as a possible crime scene because of his addiction past
Look at the photos
They were not taken by the police
But they allowed people to go in and out although a lot of potential homicide information was there for years
Aaron had a lot of death threats and many many people who were making his life miserable”
Then, in a series of follow-up posts, she detailed more. In one, she begged for the aforementioned crime and court television expert to jump on the case:
“A proper investigation was not done
I hope and pray Nancy Grace will help with our investigation
I know she’s busy with Murdaugh trial but it’s almost over now
I pray somebody will help us get Aaron’s truth”
Jane also took aim at the housekeeper who reportedly found Aaron dead in the tub last November. As we’ve previously reported, Aaron’s family has previously stated their concern about his manner of death, as well as the events in the moments after his body was first discovered. Now, Jane has identified the housekeeper as someone supposedly named Betty:
“This publicist whom I had never heard of until Aaron was dead was super involved in Aaron and Melanie’s relationship
She referred the Housekeeper Betty”
The grieving mother added in a fourth post:
“Also why are the towels perfectly placed?!
If Betty supposedly dragged him out of the bathtub and gave him CPR!!!”
And then, in a fifth and final post, Jane concluded with a series of statements.

Most remarkably, she asserted the family’s concerns “have not been taken seriously” by police in the city of Lancaster where Aaron lived. Jane alleges cops there “allowed everyone to tromp through” the scene without doing enough to preserve evidence “because of my son’s mental illness and prescription drug issues.”
She added:
“I’m totally supported by the family and friends who know I had to post the awful photos
It’s because we are not and have not been taken seriously by Law Enforcement in especially Lancaster Ca
They allowed everyone to tromp through what should have been at least an investigation
Because of my son’s mental illness and prescription drug issues they just wanted it to be something easy that they didn’t have the time or inclination to address
This won’t work for me or Melanie or anyone who truly loved him
We want answers
We want justice
There are people who must be held accountable”
Wow.
Clearly, this mournful momma is heartbroken over her son’s death and searching for answers. We are heartbroken to see her in pain. We can’t even imagine how we would react in this situation.
