Some surprising new details have been revealed in the Bebe Rexha case.
The 33-year-old singer was hit by a flying phone that was thrown at her during the end of her concert at Pier 17 on Sunday night (June 18) in New York City.
After being hit right above the eye, Bebe collapsed and was promptly rushed off stage by her team. She was taken to the hospital, where she was given three stitches.
Bebe has shared new photos of her injury and her eye looks very bruised right now.
Police have since revealed the name of the assailant and his motive for throwing the phone. The full set of charges against him have also been announced.

Rolling Stone reports that 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna of New Jersey “has been charged with two counts of assault in the three degree; one count of harassment in the second degree; one count of aggravated harassment in the second degree; and one count of attempted assault in the third degree.”
The Manhattan District Attorney’s office says that Malvagna has confessed to throwing the phone and he said, “I was trying to see if I could hit her with the phone at the end of the show because it would be funny.”
