The “Love at First Sight” superstar’s super catchy new single, “Padam Padam,” is an instant favorite on social media, with fans syncing the song to funny dancing videos and adding the term “padam” to popular memes.

The term is an example of onomatopoeia, and it’s a reference to the sound of a heartbeat, as she sings: “Padam, padam, I hear it and I know / Padam, padam, I know you wanna take me home / Padam, and take off all my clothes / Padam, padam, when your hеart goes ‘padam.’”
Fans of the song have been amusingly putting “padam” just about everywhere online!
“Padam Padam” also continues to rise on the charts: it’s currently No. 7 on the Billboard Hot Dance/Electronic Songs – her first time appearing on that chart – and No. 8 on the U.K. Singles Chart.
