Sony and Apple are giving fans a first look at their new historical military epic Napoleon.
The trailer, which was released on Monday (July 10), stars Joaquin Phoenix as the legendary French commander as he begins climbing the ranks to become emperor.

Here’s a summary of the movie: “Napoleon is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Joséphine. The film captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary.”
Napoleon reunites Joaquin with director Ridley Scott, who he previously worked with on Gladiator. The film also stars Vanessa Kirby as Empress Joséphine.
The movie is set to premiere exclusively in theaters this Thanksgiving weekend on Nov. 22 and will be available to stream on Apple TV+ at a later date. Check out the trailer down below!
