Eric McCormack Marks Return To Hallmark Movies & Mysteries With Sarah Drew in 'Guiding Emily', Set For September Premeire

Sarah Drew and Eric McCormack are both coming back to Hallmark Channel!

The two actors will team up with Antonio Cupo for Guiding Emily, which is set to debut in September on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, TV Line reports.

Eric actually has a very interesting role in the movie!

According to the release, Eric will actually the voice of Sarah‘s character’s guide dog.

Guiding Emily centers on the title character whose “life veers off course when she becomes permanently blind after an unfortunate rock-climbing accident and struggles to cope with her new reality. Meanwhile, a potential guide dog named Garth, is also struggling with his rigorous training. With the help of Emily’s friend Matthew and Garth’s trainer Katie, both make headway in their important transitions.

“Through a series of missed encounters, both overcome their obstacles and Garth ends up being paired with Emily. With Garth by her side, Emily takes on her biggest challenge yet: opening her heart.”

In a statement, Sarah opened up about the movie, which coincides with National Service Dog Month, saying that “shooting Guiding Emily was a deeply moving experience that allowed me to enter into the blind and partially sighted community in a very powerful way.”

“We were honored to have two actresses from the community play roles in the film, and sitting with them both and hearing their stories was transformative for me and for our crew,” she added.

Previously, Eric starred in A Heavenly Christmas for Hallmark Channel, which debuted in 2016. Sarah has starred in both Christmas in Vienna with Brennan Elliott and One Summer with Sam Page.
