Bethany Joy Lenz Reveals She Was Part Of A Cult & Reveals If She'd Ever Turn Her Experiences Into A Book

Bethany Joy Lenz has revealed that she was once part of a cult.

In the latest episode of Drama Queens, Bethany said that she thought about putting her experiences on the pages while discussing Hilarie‘s own new book “Grimoire Girl.”

“I was in a cult for 10 years,” she shared. “That would be a really valuable experience to write about, and the recovery — 10 years of recovery after that. So there’s a lot to tell.”

While she’s thought about it, Bethany admits that she’s shied away from doing so because of “the pressure of getting it right and everything having to be exactly real and all the people that are involved.”

“I don’t know how much I can say because there are still people and legal things in place that make it more complicated for the timing of that. But I do write. I write all the time,” she added.

Back in 2021, Bethany called out the teachings and ongoings of Mosaic Church, which is based in Los Angeles and is a celeb favorite.

“The hierarchy in this “church”, the level of abuse that I’ve consistently heard goes on behind the scenes and how everything centers around the Leader is textbook 101 of cults,” she wrote on Instagram. “And usually, unless you’re in the inner circle, it’s much harder to spot.”

However, this doesn’t seem to be the cult that Bethany was a part of, as she noted she was just a guest.
