Matt Damon is looking back on his Avatar offer and revealing a fellow celebrity who freaked out upon learning about it.
If you were unaware, the 52-year-old actor previously revealed that he was offered the lead role in Avatar by director James Cameron but had to turn it down. The part ultimately went to Sam Worthington.
As it turns out, Matt was offered a massive sum of money, a figure that he revealed last year. However, he was unable to accept it due to his commitment to the Bourne Identity franchise.
During a recent interview Matt looked back on the offer and revealed who had his “favorite” reaction upon learning about it!

John Krasinski
“My favorite reaction to this was I told John Krasinski, and he launches himself out of the chair,” Matt said during an appearance on CNN.
He continued, “He starts pacing the kitchen. He goes, ‘Okay, okay, okay. Okay, okay. Nothing in your life would be different today if you had done that movie, except you and I would be having this conversation in space.’”
Matt added that it was “the most money an actor ever turned down.”
