The ran took over qualifying for the F1 Belgian Grand Prix ahead of the big race.
Many drivers – including the ones at the top of the leaderboard like Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz – ran into a lot of friction on the track as they got in some practice at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.
“Teams were limited to just a handful of laps of practice,” according to the official F1 website, which also means that there’s no long-run data available for Saturday’s sprint, nor the big race on Sunday, July 30.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc placed 1st in qualifying.
