While talking to USA Today about his new job with the Broncos, Sean claimed that Nathaniel had done “one of the worst coaching jobs in the history of the NFL.”
After hearing the comments Sean had made, Aaron stood up against them.
“I love Nathaniel Hackett, and those comments were very surprising, for a coach to do that to another coach,” he stated during an interview following practice, via US Weekly.
He added, “It made me feel bad that someone who has accomplished a lot in the league is that insecure that they have to take another man down to set themselves up for some easy fall if it doesn’t go well for that team this year.”
“I think it was way out of line, inappropriate, and I think he needs to keep my coach’s name out of his mouth,” he said.
Aaron was traded to the Jets from the Green Bay Packers earlier this year, and took a pay cut for it.
