Michael Oher's Former Football Coach Discusses Lawsuit Against the Tuohys

Michael Oher‘s former football coach is speaking out about the NFL star’s legal petition against the Tuohy family.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Michael had filed legal documents to terminate his conservatorship in Tennessee.

He alleged that Leigh Anne Tuohy and Sean Tuohy had lied about adopting him and claimed that they tricked him into making them his conservators when he turned 18. He also claimed that the success of The Blind Side meant that the Tuohy family made millions off his name while he never received a dime.

In a recent interview with The Athletic, coach Hugh Freeze said that he believes the “facts will come out” as the lawsuit proceeds.

Hugh, who worked with Michael at Briarcrest Christian School and Ole Miss, told the outlet, “I think it’s sad.”

“I certainly don’t claim to understand all the ins and outs of adoption, conservatory, all of that. I know what I witnessed,” he continued. “I witnessed a family that totally took in a young man and I think without that, there is no story.”

Following the allegations Michael made about the Tuohy family, Sean has spoken out about the ordeal. Find out what he said here.
