Season 4 of the popular HBO series has been quietly moved to 2024 by the network, TVLine reports.

The upcoming fourth season, dubbed True Detective: Night Country, stars Jodie Foster and Kali Reis, and was originally scheduled to debut later this year.

It was even included in a sizzle reel of Max’s 2023 programming slate, with a teaser trailer saying it was “coming this year.”

HBO’s official website now says it’s coming in 2024, a change made quietly earlier this month.
