Kevin Costner has broken his silence over his headlining divorce from Christine Baumgartner.

In court, Kevin was asked by Christine‘s lawyers about the amount she was asked he pay for child support – $161,592, to which he has argued that he doesn’t have that kind of money per month.

“Oh good, we’ll have to have a treasure hunt to find it,” he had seemingly joked on the stand.

In his passing by interview, Kevin told the outlet that he didn’t mean his comment to be any kind of funny.

“Were you laughing? I wasn’t,” he said. “This is a horrible place to be but this is where we’re at.”

Kevin added, “It feels so bad, we’re talking about somebody I love on the other side… I just can’t.”

He also stated that he still has love for Christine, who is the mother of three of his children, and he hoped the divorce would be finalized soon.

The couple have been married for 18 years.
