Prince Harry Makes Special Trip on Anniversary of Queen Elizabeth's Death

Prince Harry very clearly had Queen Elizabeth on his mind on the first anniversary of her death.

The Queen passed away on September 8, 2022 at the age of 96. In the time since, her eldest son King Charles has ascended the throne, and the royal family has continued their lives in the public eye.

On Friday, Prince Harry made a special trip to be closer to his late grandmother.

According to ET, Prince Harry was spotted at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. This is where the Queen is buried.

The Prince was in the United Kingdom to attend the WellChild Awards, which were hosted in London, England. E noted that he mentioned the Queen while onstage at the event.

“As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year as my grandmother passed away” he told the audience. “As you also probably know, she would have been the first person to insist I still come to be with you all instead of going to her, and that’s precisely why I know, exactly one year on, she is looking down on all of us tonight—happy we are together—continuing to spotlight such an incredible community.”

Earlier this week, a royal expert weighed in on Prince Harry‘s relationship with Queen Elizabeth, particularly after he and Meghan Markle stepped back from their royal duties years ago.
