Lindsay Lohan Talks Shooting 'Parent Trap' Scene With Natasha Richardson (& Another Co-Star Said It Makes Them Cry)

Lindsay Lohan is looking back on an iconic scene that she shot with the late Natasha Richardson for The Parent Trap.

If you need a reminder, in the movie the 37-year-old Mean Girls star played twins who were separated as babies when their parents divorced and then unknowingly reunited at a summer camp. They decided to switch places to get to experience their other parents, and then high jinks ensued.

Natasha played Lindsay‘s mom, who learned about the switch while in bed with her daughter.

Director Nancy Meyers took to social media to reflect on Natasha‘s bedroom, prompting a response from Lindsay. Another former co-star also responded, revealing that the scene always made them very emotional.

In her post on Instagram, Nancy explained that the photo over Natasha‘s bed was something she picked up for herself while they were in London.

“We thought it would look great in Elizabeth’s house so there it landed for a few days for the bedroom scenes,” she explained.

The nostalgia-inducing revolution stirred up memories for Lindsay, who replied in the comments section, writing, “Was a beautiful scene and I remember how fun it was to shoot! ☺️🥹🙏”

Lisa Ann Walter, who played Chessy in the movie, chimed in.

“Gorgeous painting,” she wrote. “This scene always makes me cry. @lindsaylohan was so good in it – and, of course, Natasha. ❤️”

If you forgot, Lisa has made several references to the classic in the last year. She brought another co-star as her date to the 2023 SAGs. She also shared a surprising connection between her sons and Lindsay‘s characters in the movie.
