Madison Beer is opening up about her love for Lana Del Rey!
The 24-year-old singer and the 38-year-old singer met at Urth Caffe in Los Angeles earlier this year, and Lana approached Madison to tell her how much she loves her music.
Now, the musicians have a friendship, which “means the world” to Madison, who has always looked up to Lana and taken musical inspiration from her.

During an interview with People, Madison shared that she’s felt “conditioned” to see other female musicians as competition in the past. “I’ve always felt like that’s so f-cking weird, and I hate that,” she said. “There have, unfortunately, been people I’ve met that I’ve loved that I’ve been like, ‘Oh, f-ck, I don’t have your support because you might look at me and not want me to win because something in your head thinks that if I win, you lose,’ and that’s just not how I am.”
She noted, “Meeting Lana was just so huge for me because the phrase, ‘Never meet your idols,’ that’s just not true when it comes to someone like her. She’s just incredible, and she’s been so supportive, so there for me as a friend, an idol, a supporter of my music and of me as a person.”
“When I’ve been going through something, I will literally go to her to reach out,” Madison shared. “She’s just a very special person, and I really, really adore her.”
Might there be a musical collaboration down the line? “I’m too afraid to ask her anything about that,” Madison told People. “Literally, I can’t because I just respect and love her so much that rejection would probably be the most painful thing. Maybe one day I’ll work up the courage.”
Both artists have been busy lately. Madison released her new album, Silence Between Songs, on Friday (September 15), and Lana recently kicked off her mini North American tour.
