Kylie Minogue and Jodie Comer sit front and center for Burberry’s Summer 2024 show during UK’s London Fashion Week on Monday (September 18).
“The brand’s legacy is ultimately the outdoors,” 37-year-old chief creative officer Daniel Lee told BoF before the show. “That’s the thing we have in mind when we work on everything.”
“An exploration of lightness, sensuality, beauty and elegance,” read a statement from the British brand about the show. “Brand codes evolve, moving across clothing, bags, shoes, accessories and jewellery. A sense of outdoor living, reimagining the trench for summer. Print is prominent. Jewellery and hardware become hand-painted artworks and repeated prints. Embracing the cliches of British fruits and English meadows. Accompanied by the music of Dean Blunt.”
Also in attendance were Jason Statham, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Jamaican-British actor Micheal Ward, Jourdan Dunn, Naomi Campbell, Rachel Weisz, Skepta, Jessie Buckley, Joel Edgerton and Christine Centenera, Bukayo Saka, Taylor Zakhar Perez, Joel Kinnaman and Kelly Gale, British musician Kano, Barry Keoghan, Naomi Ackie, SAINt JHN, Tems, Shygirl, Will Sharpe, Georgia May Jagger, Anna Wintour, and music exec Jimmy Iovine.
