Jeffree Star is making a YouTube comeback!

It’s been 10 months since the 37-year-old beauty guru announced that they were moving on from the social media platform where they built their makeup empire to pursue other creative avenues.

However, he made a return this week for an exciting reason – to film a full reveal video for Jeffree Star Cosmetics‘ new Gothic Beach collection. The video, released on Sunday (September 24), was a true return to form that had fans looking forward to the forthcoming launch.

“Long time no see,” Jeffree joked at the very beginning of the video. He also addressed why he was making a comeback: “I have had so many requests that when we have a big makeup launch you guys wnat to see it up close. You want to see the old school YouTube version, and y’all want to see some swatches.”

The Gothic Beach collection features a new 18-pan eyeshadow palette from Jeffree‘s brand as well as several other new products. That includes the return of the line’s Extreme Frost highlighters in the form of a new trio.

Jeffree is also rolling out new formulas such as a new mascara, eye markers and a blur and cool face stick. He even introduced a sunscreen to his skincare line!

The Gothic Beach collection arrives on Friday (September 29) at 10am PT and can be picked up on the brand’s website.

After departing YouTube last year, Jeffree did most of his reveals on other forms of social media. However, this appears to signify a return to form for the makeup mogul. We’ll keep an eye peeled for any other videos in the coming weeks.

If you missed it, earlier this year Jeffree accused former friends in the beauty industry of lying in their product reviews. He also called out TikTok star Mikayla Nogueira.
