The couple choreographed a routine to Henry Mancini‘s “Moon River,” which was famously featured in the hit movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
Eight former pro dancers returned to the ballroom for the dance, including Maks Chmerkovskiy, Kym Johnson-Herjavec, Tony Dovolani, Karina Smirnoff, Anna Trebunskaya, Edyta Śliwińska, Louis van Amstel and Mark Ballas.
They joined former pros and current co-host and judge Julianne Hough and Derek Hough, as well as this season’s pros Alan Bersten, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater, Val Chmerkovskiy, Brandon Armstrong, Pasha Pashkov, Daniella Karagach, Jenna Johnson, Rylee Arnold, Britt Stewart, Gleb Savchenko, Koko Iwasaki, Peta Murgatroyd and Artem Chigvintsev.
The emotional dance ended with the dancers gesturing to the judges table, with spotlights focused on the center chair, between Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, who sat next to Len over all these years.
Len passed away earlier this year after a battle with bone cancer. Earlier this month, his official cause of death was revealed.
At the start of this season, hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough announced that they had redesigned the mirror ball trophy and renamed it after Len.
This dancer opened up about not being invited back for the tribute.
