Allison Mack Blames Smallville Co-Star For Introducing Her To NXIVM!

Allison Mack is blaming one of her former Smallville co-stars for introducing her to NXIVM!

Two years after being released from prison early, the actress opened up about how she got involved in the sex cult on the Allison After NXIVM podcast on Monday. You may recall that shortly after the arrest of co-founder Keith Raniere, a report dropped claiming Kristin Kreuk lured other women into the group after she joined around late 2005 — including Allison.

Back in 2018, the Beauty & the Beast alum denied ever being “in the ‘inner circle’” and recruiting “women as ‘sex slaves’” — or witnessing anything of the sort. Instead, Kristin claimed she only got involved in what she believed was “a self-help/personal growth course that helped me handle my previous shyness” and left in 2013. That happened after learning Raniere allegedly had sex with underage girls from an Albany Times Union report.

Now, Allison is sharing her side of the story. According to the convicted felon, it is Kristin’s fault that she got involved in NXIVM. She recalled the early days of their friendship on the podcast:

“We went to Syria and Turkey together, we went to Mongolia together, we went to Paris, and we had so much fun. We went to Paris multiple times together and just shopped and saw art and sat on the top of the Pompidou and had rosé and lived this kind of dream.”

After becoming friends and roommates in New York’s West Village in the mid-aughts, Allison said the pair began to get real with each other about feeling “unsatisfied” with their lives. She remembered a conversation they had at the time:

“I was like, ‘I feel this odd emptiness, and it feels so wrong given the nature of my life.’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, me too.’”

That “weird ennui” is what the Wilfred alum said led Kristin to try out some classes with NXIVM while they were in Vancouver filming Smallville. Allison said her co-star told her:

“It’s the science of joy. It’s the most amazing thing. It’s made everything so much better in my life. You’ve got to do this.”

The 43-year-old claimed that “it was all she could talk about,” and “she was super excited about it.” Because of the rave reviews about NXIVM, including for the co-founders Raniere and Nancy Salzman, Allison joined Kristin for a retreat after getting invited:

“‘They’re doing a weekend and I think you should do it. I think you’d really like it.’ And I was like, ‘OK, if you think I should do it and I’ll like it, I’ll do it.’”

And we all know what happened from there. Kristin cut ties with the group following the disturbing accusations against Raniere. Allison, however, didn’t. Instead, she rose through the ranks and got involved in the nefarious activities, which involved recruiting and blackmailing women into becoming sex slaves for the cult leader. In fact, she became one of the highest-ranking members of the group — so high up that the women got her and Raniere’s initials branded on them. Horrifying stuff. Allison went on to admit to her crimes and plead guilty to racketeering and racketeering conspiracy. While she was sentenced to three years in 2021, she didn’t serve her full time and is now free… and married.

At this time, Kristen hasn’t reacted to Allison’s comments. But here’s what we have to say about it. Although Kristin unknowingly introduced Allison to the cult, the 43-year-old ultimately has no one to blame but herself for her disgusting actions afterward. She could’ve left like Kristin, but didn’t. We hope she’ll recognize that.
