Jeffrey Epstein is a stink that just won’t wash off for Donald Trump.
The President has been trying his hardest to sweep this whole Epstein thing under the rug and be done with it. But the massive drop of Epstein emails released by the House Oversight Committee this week is making it impossible. Trump’s name appears over 1,000 times in the documents released on Wednesday alone. And this is just Epstein’s emails, this wouldn’t even scratch the surface of the number of various types of documents said to be in the Epstein files.
We’ve looked at some of the worst, and you can find those HERE. But one of the interesting things revealed by Epstein’s private emails was what a low opinion of Trump he had after spending so many years with him!
Just a couple weeks after Trump’s inauguration, Epstein was speaking with pal Larry Summers, the former President of Harvard, Secretary of the Treasury under Bill Clinton and Director of the White House United States National Economic Council under Barack Obama. That’s all the same guy btw — he’s a big deal… and a good friend of Epstein. Ick.

Anyway, they were discussing the differences between Obama and Trump. Epstein was blasting Obama for kiteboarding with billionaire Richard Branson, sarcastically calling him “your man of the people.” Summers noted that Obama “didn’t wreck the world and avoided scandal.” He then asks about attitudes toward women. That’s when Epstein says something truly haunting:
“recall ive told you ,, — i have met some very bad people ,, none as bad as trump. not one decent cell in his body.. so yes- dangerous”

Holy s**t! That was his answer about Trump’s attitude toward women?! The sex trafficker looked at his friend of 15+ years and his takeaway was, damn that guy is a monster?!
A few months later he and Summers were talking about all the Trump scandals — and how he was having trouble getting lawyers to represent him due to the fact he wouldn’t be honest with him. Epstein’s response?
“your world does not understand how dumb he really is. he will blame everyone around him. for bad results.”
He also said almost everyone he’d hired around him would be fired soon, which was right on the money. That White House had a higher turnover rate than a Taco Bell!

And it didn’t get better as the term went on. In other emails he called Trump “borderline insane” and wondered if he as exhibiting signs of “early dementia.”
In March 2018, New York Times finance journalist Landon Thomas Jr reached out to Epstein out of fear Trump “could well tank global economy.” He wondered if it was time for Epstein “to jump in.” Epstein said about his former (???) friend:
“he feels alone. and is nuts !!! , I told everyone from day one. evil beyond belief. mad, and most thought i was speaking metaphorically. its obvious he could crack. stormy daniels. ? lies after lies after lies.”
Obviously the Stormy Daniels scandal did NOT break Trump. Nothing ever did.

But seriously… “Evil beyond belief”?!
This is the guy who Melinda Gates only had to meet once to get nightmares. And in his mind, Trump is “evil” and the worst guy he’s ever met? YEESH.
One more person Epstein spoke about Trump with in these emails? Kathy Ruemmler, a top lawyer for Goldman Sachs who also served for a time as White House Counsel to Obama. Crazy how many people in high places Epstein knew, huh? Anyway, he told Kathy pretty ominously:
“You see , i know how dirty donald is”
And obviously everyone will think of the association with underage sex trafficking. But in another email Ruemmler says she thinks Trump is “gross” — and Epstein responds:
“worse in real life and upclose”
Ew.

This is all really awful stuff. Though of course…
There is the argument that you certainly don’t want to be celebrated by a sex criminal either. Like, if Epstein had called Trump “a terrific guy” or “a lot of fun to be with” that would be pretty bad. (Or if he’d said Trump “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side” that would be devastating, too.) But somehow this feels even more ominous than getting praise.
We mean, what does the monster fear? A champion? Or an even worse monster??
Obviously we’re already seeing Trump defenders use these emails as proof these two were enemies, that Epstein was afraid of Trump prosecuting him… But then… Why did Trump take so long? Why didn’t he expose him years before, even as a private citizen?
This argument that Trump is some kind of white knight just getting close to Epstein to take him down is always so confusing to us. We mean… he spent over 15 years with him as his friend and then they had a falling out but then… Trump kept his underage sex trafficking ring a secret, allowing him to hurt more girls for well over a decade? And now refuses to expose the other men involved to the public, instead fighting the release of the government’s evidence? Does that make sense to YOU??
