Disneyland may be the Happiest Place on Earth, but apparently it’s also becoming the latest stage for a political showdown.

A conservative activist group called the 805 Patriots, based in Southern California’s central coast region, has announced plans for what they are dramatically labeling a “MAGA Invasion” of Disneyland. The group teased the whole thing in a Facebook post this week, per People. In it, the group’s administrators dropped this invitation to their followers:

“Give your family a chance to experience Disney on a day with as many like minded patriots [as] possible.”

Now, the 805 Patriots are no random FB page. They’ve got a big presence over there, plus another 32,000 Instagram followers and 11,000 more on TikTok, per the mag. They regularly organize local events, sell merch tied to their demonstrations, and keep their audience hyped with announcements.

But no announcement has been more eyebrow-raising than this one! According to the post first published on Wednesday, they’re aiming to swarm Disneyland on Saturday, February 28, 2026. They’re apparently going to share an official agenda closer to the date, but the date itself is at least locked in.

But… wait. February 28, 2026? That isn’t just any random day. Per People, it also happens to be the exact same day that the group Gay Days Anaheim is planning its own Disneyland weekend event, informally titled “Mini Gay Days.” That outing comes complete with meetups and festivities scattered throughout the park. So, yes, these two gatherings — one MAGA, one LGBTQ+ — are scheduled to unfold at the exact same time, in the exact same place.

Uh oh…

Now, to be clear, Disneyland itself has nothing to do with any of this. The resort hosts plenty of official events throughout the year, but these gatherings are entirely unsanctioned and fan-organized. Think of these like Dapper Days, Villains Days, or any of those themed meetups that draw crowds and creative outfits.

FWIW, Disneyland does enforce a dress code and park rules. So, they can decline entry if things cross into prohibited territory. And yes, the park bans flags — so the MAGA enthusiasts have been warned to leave theirs at home.

Nevertheless, the 805 Patriots are still encouraging their followers to arrive dressed for the cause. Their instructions read:

“Wear a ‘patriots in the park’ T-shirt & a red MAGA hat. Ordering a shirt is an RSVP that y’all bought tickets to Disney.”

To help with that dress code, the group is selling t-shirts, hoodies, kids clothes, and even baby onesies emblazoned with a design they call “Make Disney Great Again.” The artwork features a Revolutionary War figure waving a Betsy Ross flag in front of a reimagined Disney castle. Oookay!

When some of the group’s followers asked why Disneyland won the honor of hosting this political escapade, the admins dropped more details in the post’s comment section:

“We had a poll up on Instagram with our 32k followers for a MAGA invasion of an amusement park with Universal [Studios], Knott’s [Berry Farm], Six Flags and Disneyland, and Disneyland won with a few thousands votes.”

Some commenters were less than thrilled at the idea of financially supporting Disney, a company conservatives have often criticized in recent years. In response, the 805 Patriots doubled down on the spirit of the day:

“This is to go have some fun by triggering as many liberals as possible in their home turf as well as giving conservative families at least one chance to take their kids to Disneyland.”

Wtf? Conservatives take their kids to Disneyland all the time and no one cares. What are they talking about?

But there you have it: a MAGA outing set for a collision course with one of the park’s most beloved LGBTQ+ fan traditions.
