Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino Makes Triumphant ‘Jersey Shore’ Return Post-Prison — Watch!

It’s a full-fledged family reunion when Jersey Shore: Family Vacation returns for the second half of season 3!

MTV dropped a new trailer for the hit reality show showing the meatball crew back together again after Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino was released from prison in September.

As fans know, the Sitch served an eight-month sentence in the Federal Correctional Institution in Otisville, New York, after pleading guilty to tax evasion. After being absent from the first half of season 3, Mike is welcomed back with bronzed, open arms by cast-mates Deena Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” DelVecchio, Jenni “JWoww” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, Angelina Pivarnick, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

Naturally, shenanigans ensue: the trailer shows the gang pumped about Mike’s return, with “MVP” — Mike, Vinny, and Pauly, obvi — getting into some trouble. He jokes at one point:

“My probation officer is not going to like this.”

LOLz!

Meanwhile, JWoww is living her best life after her divorce from ex-husband, Roger Mathews. She tells the cameras at one point:

“Divorce parties are a thing.”

Everything’s a party with this crew! Ch-ch-check out the trailer (below) and catch the return of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation on Feb. 27 at 8 p.m. EST on MTV.

The next string of episodes might actually be the last featuring the group altogether, as Snooki announced on her podcast, It’s Happening With Snooki and Joey, last month that she’s retiring from the show.

Explaining how she’s now in a different place in her life, the 32-year-old mother told listeners:

“I just can’t do it anymore. Like, literally, leaving my kids to film it is really, really hard on me… I try and quit every single day. The poor producers are like, ‘Dude, are you going to quit this time?’ I quit every single time we film because I just hate being away from the kids… I don’t like partying, like, three days in a row. It’s just not my life anymore. And I want to be home with the kids. I don’t mind a here or there going to a dinner or whatever, but it’s just really hard for me to leave the kids and film the show. That’s one reason.”

The other reason, as we reported, was too much “drama.” She added:

“When I leave my kids and I film the show, I want to have a good time and I’m putting myself out there and I just want to come off as a good person. And lately on the show, it’s been very drama. Our show, Jersey Shore, is about family and making fun of each other and having a good time and laughing and just knowing that it’s all in good fun. And lately, it’s just like everything is so serious.”

All the more reason to watch the new batch of episodes!
