It’s been nearly a week since the Glee alum went missing after venturing out on a rented boat with her 4-year-old son Josey Hollis Dorsey. As we’ve reported, her little one was found safe, still wearing his life vest, on the pontoon, telling authorities his mom went swimming but never returned.
Officials had been assisted by side scan sonar, drones, dogs, helicopters, and divers in the rescue mission, as just this weekend nearby cabins had been searched. After nearly two days of looking for the 33-year-old, she was presumed dead, and operations instead turned to hopefully recovering her body.
Some of Naya’s former co-stars have reacted to news of her disappearance, with Heather Morris pleading to let a group of close friends aid in searching for the young mom, while others like Amber Riley and Kevin Hale addressed the backlash of them not speaking publicly about their pain.
Our hearts break for all of her loved ones, especially her young son Josey, and the rest of her family.
We’ll continue to keep you updated once we know more following today’s press conference.
