Brian Austin Green is getting real about what his life looks like right now, including co-parenting with Megan Fox and dating! The Beverly Hills, 90210 alum spoke with hosts Dax Holt and Adam Glyn on Monday’s episode of the Hollywood Raw podcast to share an update about where things stand with his ex.

Despite splitting from the Jennifer’s Body star earlier this year, the 47-year-old says things are actually going pretty well so far:
“I think it’s going as well as it can. There’s no rule book to it. There’s no way of doing it right or wrong. We are learning as we go.”
As you’re likely aware, Fox and Green share 7-year-old Noah Shannon, 6-year-old Bodhi Ransom, and 3-year-old Journey River together, so co-parenting is a top priority for the exes. Adding how they are “communicating as much as [they] can,” he admitted:
“I think the realization for us is we can’t take the view that it won’t affect the kids. Because it will. I think it’s up to us, and parents in general, how it affects your kids. Everyone still loves and respects everyone, things are just different. It’s not bad different — it’s just different.”
Megan is now dating Machine Gun Kelly, which is something BAG remained relatively tight-lipped about, but he noted he wants nothing but “the absolute best” for his estranged wife:
“I wish Megan the absolute best in everything. I want her to be completely happy, for her and for the kids. That’s super important. Nobody wants to be around somebody that’s unhappy — nothing good comes out of that. That’s a terrible situation. We are taking it day by day.”
As for his own dating life, Brian was a bit more open in that department! After making headlines with Courtney Stodden and Tina Louise over the past few weeks, he still considers himself single, but isn’t ruling out anything in the future:
“I’ve been single the whole time. Dating, I guess. I’m open to meeting somebody. I’m focused on myself and healing with all of this and my kids and them experiencing it the best way that they can.”
Following recent reports that he and Miz Louise recently called it quits on their “fling,” the BH90210 star clarified:
“What people normally do when they get out of something is…they date. They talk to multiple people at once, some people use dating apps. They talk to multiple people. They go on multiple dates. They spend time with people until they feel a connection with someone and then it builds from there. I’ll literally go out to lunch with somebody and it’s written as ‘his new fling, he’s playing two women at the same time.’ No. I literally spent one time with each of these women. I’m not playing anybody. Isn’t that dating? Aren’t you supposed to talk to multiple people?”
While dating around seems to be something he’s testing out, for now, Brian’s priority at the end of the day is his kiddos, and things haven’t been too different for them so far despite Megan traveling for her new movie project:
“We travel and we work. This is what we’ve been doing for 15 years. When one person is traveling and working, the other will step in and take care of things at home and the kids. This situation is no different. Megan loves her kids, would do anything for them, and has and will continue to.”
Fox and her rapper beau are actually in Puerto Rico together and recently went Instagram official with their new romance after some time of keeping things a bit more under wraps. Things are out in the open now, but the teen drama alum didn’t reveal much about how he found out about their relationship:
“I found out in my own way. And that’s as much detail as I’ll give you about that one. I didn’t read about it or anything like that.”
