Kristin Cavallari Focusing On ‘What Really Matters In Life’ Amid Jay Cutler Divorce & Stephen Colletti Reunion

Kristin Cavallari is welcoming a whole new chapter in her life!

Amid her divorce from husband Jay Cutler, the 33-year-old reality TV star-turned-designer has shifted her perspective from harping on her failed marriage to prioritizing her family, her brand, and most importantly, herself!

As you’ll likely recall, her separation from the former NFL star has been messy, dramatic, contentious, and even downright bizarre at times, but it sounds like things have finally begun to stabilize.

Cavallari shared the new update in conversation with Us Weekly while discussing her Uncommon James x DIFF Eyewear collaboration. She admitted:

“This is the first time in a very long time that I feel like I can take a breath. I’m enjoying things slowed down and having more time to focus on what really matters in life. I want to take this extra time I have right now to better myself and be the best mom I can be and continue to grow Uncommon James. I’m not thinking about what I want to be doing next year or the year after that. I’ve driven myself crazy with that mentality the past few years. Right now, I just want to be present and enjoy this journey.”

For the Laguna Beach alum, checking in with herself each day through fitness and meditation has proven to be a source of comfort:

“I wake up at 5 a.m. Monday through Friday to have that quiet time in the morning to get ready for the madness and to also work out. Working out keeps me sane. That’s the only real self-care I need besides a good bath and a face mask from time to time, which I’m able to do when my kids are in bed.”

The momma of three added that at this point in life, there’s just no more room for negativity:

“To feel my best, I have to make sure I’m making myself a priority. And for me that means working out, eating healthy and having balance in my life. Getting rid of the things that don’t bring me joy… I hate negativity. I will run the other way from it, but I’ve had to learn how to cut toxicity out of my life as I’ve gotten older.”

With the support of her mom and her “inner circle of friends” when times get tough, Kristin said she’s able to weather any storm — including divorcing her husband of seven years. She explained:

“My mom is my best friend and always knows what to say. I’m also lucky to have some incredibly strong friendships who I can always count on to make me feel better.”

One of those “incredibly strong friendships” must include ex-boyfriend Stephen Colletti!

The former flames had their fans in a tizzy after sharing a steamy reunion photo earlier this week. Just FYI, a source confirmed the two aren’t getting back together, however, the co-stars have “always been friends.” But the sighting surely made our heads spin and pissed off Cutler enough that he DELETED his Instagram account after the pic went viral. Oop!

It sounds like Jay found his own form of self-care by logging off for a while and hey, can you really blame him?

As you’re likely aware, the couple, who announced their decision to part ways back in April, share three children together, Camden, 7, Jaxon, 6, and daughter Saylor, 4. Wishing them both the very best as they hammer out the divorce and move forward amicably as co-parents!
