Raise a glass, Bachelor Nation!
On Wednesday afternoon, two long-time franchise favorites announced that it may have taken them awhile... their journey may not have been a straight line... but they've at last arrived at their romantic destion.
Indeed:
Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick are engaged!
"It was everything I could have asked for," Kaitlyn told Entertainment Tonight.
"The words that came out of his mouth were insanely beautiful. We've never locked eyes like that in our lives.
"We were holding hands, so intense, and I was listening to his every word, but still blacked out."
Wow, huh?!?
The newly engaged couple told this same outlet that the proposal took place while they were filming an episode of Bristowe's Off the Vine podcast.
How did it go down?
Bristowe says she was told she would be interviewing a special surprise guest, only to then find out around the 30-minute mark that it was not happening.
Instead?
"Jason's like, 'Kaitlyn, we're not doing a podcast.' And I'm like, 'You forgot to hit record, didn't you!'" Bristowe recalled, laughing.
"He was like, 'No, this is something else,' and he got up and I saw him bring out a ring box from the drawer."
She continued as follows:
"I was trying to be present but I was so overwhelmed, and I was so embarrassed, because I was wearing a T-shirt that said, 'Tequila for Breakfast.'
"I was like, 'This feels very on brand, but also very inappropriate!'"
Kaitlyn appeared on season 19 of The Bachelor ... prior to starring on The Bachelorette.
She first got together with Jason -- who was a suitor on on Becca Kufrin's Bachelorette season -- in early 2019.
The two actually met when Tartick came was a guest on Bristowe's podcast, Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe.
Looking ahead professionally, meanwhile, Bristowe willl co-host the upcoming season of The Bachelorette because Chris Harrison remains sidelined after his mishandling of a race-based series scandal this spring.
In a video Tartick shared on TikTok yesterday, we see him pull out a diamond ring and then we see Bristowe's jaw drops as she screams for joy.
"Oh my God! Are you….?" the season 29 Dancing with the Stars winner replies in shock.
The pair's rescue dog then joins in on the excitement as the couple cuddles up to one another in a chair and Bristowe continues to scream and yell and celebrate.
"Yes!" she finally shouts at the end of the clip.
"Just the reaction I was hoping for, engaged to the love of my life @kaitlynbristowe," Tartick captioned the footage.
In May 2019, Bristowe and Tartick announced their decision to move in together in Nashville after having successfully navigated a long-distance relationship with the consulting agent residing in Seattle.
As for reaction around the Internet?
Let's say a whole bunch of folks are pretty darn happy for Bristowe and Tartick.
