Tayshia Adams Walks Away from Men Tell All Special, Says She’s "Heartbroken" Over Zac Clark Split

ABC aired the annual Bachelorette Men Tell All special on Monday night.

But this year's edition came with an unfortunate twist:

A former Bachelorette went ahead and told all early on during the broadcast, as co-host Tayshia Adams opened up for the first time about the end of her engagement to Zac Clark..

We reported on this unexpected break-up just under a month ago.

"All in all, all I have to say is that I'm heartbroken," the season 16 Bachelorette said on air after Kaitlyn Bristowe broached the topic

Added Adams:

"We tried really hard and I still love him very much. And I'm not sure that the future holds."

Adams selected Clark as her season winner in 2020 and the champion promptly proposed.

As recently as November 7, the couple ran the New York City Marathon together, but astute observers noticed that Adams didn't mention Clark on Instagram when writing about this impressive feat.

A few days later, she was spotted out without her engagement ring on.

The current Bachelorette co-host and her now-former fiancé are "no longer a couple," Tayshia's rep then confirmed to E! News in late November.

"I mean, you know how it is," Adams added on Monday evening, referencing to Bristowe's post-show breakup from former her fiancé Shawn Booth.

"It's really tough."

Bristowe then offered her support to Adams after the sad revelation.

"It's really hard but we're here for you and obviously want you to be happy," Bristowe told her friend and colleague.

After the reality stars shared a hug, Rodney Mathews -- a suitor who was popular with fans, yet recently sent home by Michelle Young -- joined them on stage for a solo interview.

Mathews told Adams he was "sorry to hear" about her breakup, to which she expressed her gratitude for his concern.

However, after taking a deep breath, Adams suddenly got up and walked off the stage.

"We're going to let Tayshia have a minute," Bristowe told viewers and attendees.

This past December, after Adams took over as The Bachelorette for Clare Crawley, she and Clark got engaged on the Season 16 finale.

"I can't picture another day, another moment without you in my life," Clark said to Adams on air.

"And if you'll let me, I'm going to choose you right now. I'm going to choose you tomorrow morning.

"I'm going to choose you next week and next year. I'm going to choose you forever, because I love you. Marry me."

Adams, of course, responded at the time with an emotional and enthusiastic yes.

"Things have been strained through the fall. Both of their schedules have been really tough," a People Magazine source has said of why this romance is over.

"Tayshia has been very busy and Zac also has a lot on his plate. Scheduling time together was just very difficult.

At the end of the day, they're very different people. They're both good people -- she's amazing and he's a great guy and very passionate about his work.

"But they're a total mismatch."
