Sidney Poitier’s Cause Of Death Revealed

We finally know what caused the death of Sidney Poitier.

According to Los Angeles County coroners, the iconic actor’s cause of death was reported to be a mix of heart failure, Alzheimer’s and prostate cancer.

The death certificate from the LA County Department of Public Health was published by TMZ on Tuesday. The Oscar winner died on January 6 at 94.

Poitier was best known for his roles in Lilies of the Field, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner, A Raisin in the Sun, and To Sir, With Love. Many roles of his tackled racism, including a portrayal of a Black police officer during a murder investigation in the movie In the Heat of the Night.

He earned two additional Oscar nominations and an honorary award in 2001, 10 Golden Globe nominations, and countless other accolades for his work in Hollywood.

R.I.P. to a legend.
