Kody Brown is down one Sister Wife at the moment.
As you very likely know by now, the father of 18 lost spiritual spouse Christine back in early November, as the disgruntled reality star announced on Instagram:
"After more than 25 years together, Kody and I have grown apart and I have made the difficult decision to leave.
"We will continue to be a strong presence in each other's lives as we parent our beautiful children and support our wonderful family."
With Christine out of the picture, fans can't help but now wonder:
Will she soon be replaced?
Is Kody in the market for yet another woman he can boss around and who can cater to his every whim and desire?
According to a new report in Us Weekly, the answer may take you by surprise.
“He is not happy with the other wives threatening to leave,” an insider recently told this tabloid. “He’s considering starting fresh with new wives.”
Yes, wives, the magazine claims. Plural.
Christine is already a goner, of course, while a source also told Us Weekly a short while ago that Janelle may be next.
Viewers have witnessed her dissatisfaction throughout Season 16 of Sister Wives, as she's often clashed with her husband for the way he treated her in late 2020 amid the initial COVID-19 outbreak.
Janelle is tight with Christine, this source explains, and has been influenced not only by Christine walking away -- but also by how happy Christine appears to be these days.
“Christine and Janelle are very close and they have conversations about it," the insider explained of whether or not Janelle will move back to Utah as well.
As for Meri Brown?
She knows that she and Kody are merely friends at this point, but she's also stated emphatically multiple times that she plans on staying put in her unhappy, fake marriage.
It's a pretty huge mess all around.
“I’ve had to really think. My children are almost grown and there’s not a huge necessity anymore to stay," Janelle said on air just a couple weeks ago, adding of a plural marriage:
"It was a wonderful way to raise children.
"With Kody and I right now, our relationship is pretty strained. And you know, it’s easy to walk away.”
It's no secret, either, that Kody spends most of his time with Robyn, his youngest wife and his only legal wife.
The pair's relationship played a major factor in Christine finally choosing to separate, and it may perhaps inspire Janelle to do the same someday.
Continued Us Weekly of where Kody's head is at:
“He wants to be with women who can accept the fact that he’s most committed to Robyn and devoting his time to her."
The self-centered polygamist previously told Us exclusively that it’s up to the ladies to leave him.
He explained in March 2021 that he wouldn’t initiate a split with any of his partners.
“In plural marriage, I don’t feel like I’ve got the right to say, ‘This is over, this is ending,’” the huge jerk face said back then.
“I have dominion over my own body and where I’m at, but I’m not in place where, like, I can say, ‘Hey, I’m divorcing you.’ I can’t do that.
"However, any one of them, I feel like, can.”
Kody didn't seem to care much after Christine did, indeed, make this choice for herself.
“Christine’s decision to leave comes with a great deal of sadness. We enjoyed many years together and I have a large amount of respect and admiration for her,” he wrote via Instagram in November.
“Although we are moving forward on different paths, we will always remain committed parents.”
