As previously reported, June Shannon recently lost custody of her youngest daughter, Alana.
Now, meanwhile, comes word that the veteran star known as “Mama June” may lose something even closer to her heart:
A great deal of money.
How so?
Because The Sun alleges that Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird and Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson may very soon sign on for a spinoff of their very own.
It’s unclear what would happen to Mama June: From Not to Hot if this deal actually goes through — but it’s a strong possibilities executives may not care to keep airing a show solely about June.
“They are in talks about having their own show and they will be meeting about it in the next few weeks,” an insider tells The Sun of the 22-year old and 16-year old.
There certainly would be storylines for WEtv to mine if producers went in this direction.
Just last month, Lauryn was granted full custody of her younger sibling, who rose to small screen fame as a very young beauty pageant contestant over a decade ago.
Aside from caring for Alana, Lauryn welcomed twins back on May 19 and is also the mother of a four-year old daughter AND a one-year old son.
That’s quite the busy household, wouldn’t you say?
It’s safe to assume there would be plenty of material to film under that roof for a reality show.
Just how close are Lauryn and Alana to breaking away from their mother, who basically ditched them for a year after her March 2019 arrest on drug charges… in order to do even more drugs and live out of hotel rooms with ex-boyfriend Geno Doak?
The Sun claims the young women are on their way to Los Angeles right at this very moment to meet with network higher-ups.
The source even says the family plans to stop at the Grand Canyon and take in various tourist sights along the way.
Road trip!
We’re “really happy,” Lauryn previously told The Sun, after giving birth to her twins.
“Things have been stressful adjusting to three babies under one-year-old and just five kids in general but it’s nothing me and Josh can’t handle.
“This just means life is a little more hectic but will be so worth it in the end.”
June, meanwhile, hasn’t bothered to see these kids even one time since they arrived home, a source claims.
A little over a week after becoming a mother yet again, Pumpkin posted an angry missive that appeared to take a swipe at June.
“Just putting this out into the air but it’s literally up to NO ONE but YOU to make sure you have a relationship with your grandkids, niece, nephew- etc. And if you don’t, you got no one to blame but you.
“If you wanna see them, drive. If you wanna call them, call. It is not- I repeat NOT up to the PARENT to make sure you know their child.
“They are way too busy raising said child/children & already being active in their lives to worry about how active you are.”
A family feud?

Sure sounds like someone knows exactly how to bring in eyeballs for a potential program.
For the record, however, no one associated with WEtv had commented on this spinoff rumor just yet.
