Alec Baldwin Fails To Have 'Rust' Lawsuit Dismissed

Alec Baldwin is still facing an uphill battle over Rust.

In a new report, the 65-year-old actor and producer has failed to have the charges against him and his fellow producers dismissed.

Deadline is reporting that three crew members brought charges against Alec, as well as El Dorado Pictures and Rust Movie Productions, sued them over unspecified damages.

According to the legal paperwork, dolly operator Ross Adding, set costumer Doran Curtin, and key grip Reese Price brought charges against Alec, and they are seeking unspecified damages for “blast injuries” and post-traumatic stress anxiety.

All three say that they were inside the New Mexico church when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was shot.

The motion to dismiss the civil trial was denied, and the judge presiding, Bryan Biedscheid, also stopped the motion to stay the matter, until the criminal trial is over.

Armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed‘s trial, who was charged with manslaughter over the shooting, was pushed back to February 2024.

She and Alec had both been charged with manslaughter over the tragedy that occurred late last year. The charges against Alec were then dropped in April.
