Amanda Bynes and her fiancé Paul Michael are still going strong, despite talk otherwise!
As we reported, the couple were said to have split over the weekend due to problems surrounding her conservatorship and her inability to commit to a future marriage because of it. Well, the star’s man is clearing the air!

Speaking to an outlet on Tuesday, he confirmed they’re still engaged, and as it turns out, both their Instagram accounts were “hacked”!
“Both of our instas got hacked and someone deleted our pictures and sent dms [direct messages] saying we broke up. We never broke up and weren’t able to log into our instagrams until last night.”
He added the two of them “have been together for six months and didn’t break up,” and when asked why the hacker only deleted photos of them as a couple from Amanda’s account, Paul Michael guessed:
“Assumably to make it seem like we broke up.”
Interestingly enough, Bynes’ fiancé was the one who confirmed the breakup, telling InTouch on Sunday:
“We did. I love her though, she’s my best friend.”
Perhaps this was all the work of the hacker??
Paul also took the chance to clear up his fiancée’s court order to admit herself into a psychiatric facility, something reports claim the 33-year-old actress and FIDM graduate did not do.
“She’s not ordered to go to a hospital. She’s ordered to go to a residential treatment, which is called inpatient, but she’s not in a hospital. She is affected by trauma from her childhood. The anxiety made her drop out of school and the judge ordered her to work on that in residential treatment.”
During the chat with the outlet, he spilled she spends her day at outpatient group therapy and trauma therapy, explaining:
“She’s allowed to come and go as long as she goes to therapy. She’s doing really well, besides anxiety and trauma.”
And shared Amanda will return to FIDM to receive her Bachelor’s degree having already graduated with an Associate of Art degree.
With no extra details on the “trauma” she’s been facing, we can only genuinely hope the former child star is in a good place right now and is getting the healing she needs. It’s hard to know if her significant other (of apparently six months) has her best interests at heart, but we’re certainly hoping so!
