Amanda Kloots Overcome With Emotion After ‘Hard Day’ Visiting Nick Cordero In The ICU

Nick Cordero‘s wife Amanda Kloots has documented the Broadway star’s long and difficult road to recovery from the novel coronavirus ever since he was admitted to the hospital nearly 90 days ago.

While she has been able to share moments of encouragement, positivity, and optimism along the way, on Tuesday morning, Kloots got real about one of the lowest emotional points she’s experienced while praying for her husband to come out of the ICU.

As we’ve reported, it’s been a roller coaster ride for the 41-year-old stage performer’s health as he continues to fight through one of the worst bouts of COVID-19 we’ve ever heard of. His journey has included several setbacks and complications since he woke up from a medically induced coma back in May — but there was a bright moment of hope when we learned Amanda was finally able to visit her husband in person earlier this month.

In a departure from her usual video messages, she penned a message to followers via her Instagram Story explaining that she struggles with her faith during this time:

“I had a hard day today. I cried all day basically. I got mad today too. I got mad at God. I’m praying and I have people all over the world praying. I said to my mom and dad, ‘why can’t He throw us a bone. I’m sorry but I’m mad at him right now.'”

She continued from there, revealing she”couldn’t keep it together” — even in front of the doctors — while she was sitting next to Nick at the hospital:

In her message, Amanda acknowledged her moment of weakness does not indicate a lack of faith, but instead, shows that she is human! She remained confidant she’ll overcome this just as she hopes her husband will pull through from his darkest days, too:

She concluded:

“God doesn’t expect me to be perfect. He doesn’t except [sic] anyone too.”

Kloots’ strength has been remarkable to watch through this entire ordeal, but we also acknowledge how difficult it’s clearly been for her to be the rock for their family right now, too.
