Archie Madekwe is the star of the new movie Gran Turismo and he’s likely going to earn a lot of new fans from the project.

If you take a look at Archie‘s social media pages, you’re not going to learn a lot about his private life as he made a conscious decision to keep personal details off of there.

In an interview from 2020, Archie explained the incident that caused him to change his outlook on social media.

“It freaks me out when people I don’t know think they know me personally,” Archie told Boys by Girls. “It was a few years ago when I did Les Misérables for the BBC, and my nephew had just been born. There were a couple of pictures on my Instagram of my nephew and me and then I started seeing them pop up on people’s Tumblrs, and it just made my family feel a bit weird. So, I decided to remove everything and start fresh.”

Archie added, “But also, I think it’s important as an actor for people not to feel that they know you personally too much. When you know an actor and their life too well, it’s hard to separate the actor from the character. If you try to keep your life personal – and I think that’s part of the keeping feet on the ground thing – then it still remains your life. When lines cross and all that madness and your personal life become the same thing, then it’s easy to get lost in it.”

Archie does have a few pics from his personal life on his Instagram account, but most of the posts are promoting his projects.
