The 38-year-old Vanderpump Rules star is set to star as officer Karen in the Lifetime movie, Buying Back My Daughter.

In the movie, which is based on true events, Karen is determined to bring a 16-year-old girl back to her mother after the teenager sneaks out to go to a party and doesn’t come home.

The cast also includes Faith Wright, Meagan Good, and Roger Cross.

Ariana was cast in the film in March, mere weeks after “Scandoval” exploded. In case you missed it, Ariana‘s costar and ex-boyfriend of nine years, Tom Sandoval, had an affair with her best friend and costar, Raquel Leviss.

Despite her very intense and public heartbreak, Ariana seems to be thriving these days. She shows off impressive acting chops in the trailer, delivering police officer words of wisdom like a pro.

Buying Back My Daughter will premiere on October 7 on Lifetime. In addition to the movie, Ariana will also compete in the next season of Dancing With the Stars.
