Ben Affleck Thinks It’s Pretty Lame People Read Into His Facial Expressions: ‘That’s How God Made Me’

Ben Affleck doesn’t see a problem with his “unhappy” resting face!

As we’re sure you’ve seen, the 50-year-old actor has been quite a popular meme for years now — his exhausted and displeased looking facial expressions in several pics have taken over the internet. We all know those snaps of the Argo star getting caught by the paparazzi (frequently with coffee in-hand). Ch-ch-check out some (below):

A total mood!

Most recently, conversation about Ben’s expressions started again when he attended the Grammys with wife Jennifer Lopez. During Trevor Noah‘s skit, cameras cut to the couple who looked to be in a serious conversation — and there were some HIGHlarious reactions about it on Twitter, with users writing:

“However bad of a day you’re having, I promise you’re not as miserable as Ben Affleck at the Grammys right now.”

“Ben Affleck at the Grammys is a sobering reminder that no matter how rich and famous you are, your lady is still going to drag you to s**t you don’t want to go to”

“Ben Affleck giving off big ‘Only sober guy at a wedding where you know nobody other than your wife’ vibes”

“Ben Affleck looks like he was dragged along to girls night and told to stay off his phone”

“ben affleck is so consistent in his misery i almost have to admire it”

One user even tweeted a screenshot of his apparent displeasure:

LOLz!!

But how does he feel about all those “sad Ben Affleck” jokes? Well, he said his expressions don’t equate to his real feelings at all!

On Jimmy Kimmel Live Tuesday, the Good Will Hunting star said being thought of as sad is a “common misconception”:

“Listen, I have a very unhappy-looking resting face.”

He then joked “this is me content” and dropped his face into that blank expression we know all too well before making a similarly serious face and saying “this is me amused.”

Ha! A man of very few expressions!

He doesn’t have a problem with it, though, and told host Jimmy Kimmel:

“That’s how God made me. You don’t have to punish me for it.”

Poor Ben! Seems like he’s not a fan of all the jokes.

You can see the full interview (below):

Earlier this month, he addressed the moment he and JLo had at the award ceremony again, telling The Hollywood Reporter what happened:

“I saw [Grammy host Trevor Noah approach] and I was like, ‘Oh, God.’ They were framing us in this shot, but I didn’t know they were rolling. I leaned into her and I was like, ‘As soon they start rolling, I’m going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor.’ She goes, ‘You better f**king not leave.’ That’s a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is, I’m like, ‘All right, who is this act?’ Like, I don’t keep up. My wife does, obviously. And yeah, it is your wife’s work event.”

But not to worry! The Oscars winner said he enjoyed it, nonetheless:

“I had a good time at the Grammys. My wife was going, and I thought, ‘Well, there’ll be good music. It might be fun.’”

Seems like Ben is just being Ben. His facial expressions are just a part of who he is and there’s nothing wrong with that! What do U think, Perezcious readers? Sound OFF (below).
