When the 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Season 7 trailer dropped this summer, we saw six couples.
Six couples. Twelve familiar faces. But we all knew that the Season 7 cast would be larger than this.
We were all correct.
The final couple for HEA‘s upcoming season is a familiar pair from Season 9: Bilal and Shaeeda.
On the final (regular, non-Tell-All) episode of 90 Day Fiance Season 9, Bilal Hazziez married Shaeeda Sween.
It was a beautiful ceremony and took place at Bilal’s home.
His large home may be largely devoid of color, but his sister Nefertari did a fantastic job of setting up the venue.
Just as with the dress, Nefertari was a consummate professional. (Without a prank, this time)
The actual ceremony was a little different than what many viewers expected.
But even without the “you may kiss the bride” line, the wedding was complete.
Even when the episode came to an end, we could tell that there was more to their story.
Shaeeda, eager after the prenup’s amendment, expressed her continuing desire to become a mom.
Bilal was, as always, hesitant … but seemingly unwilling to give her a hard “no.” He has all season.
That was obviously a teaser for the drama to come.
So it’s really no surprise to hear that Bilal and Shaeeda are returning for next season.
There’s usually at least one couple who makes the jump to HEA. Besides, don’t many psychological thrillers have sequels?
So, the new season will show this Lifetime movie vibes couple adjusting to married life.
Shaeeda is expecting Bilal to abide by the prenup, making her a mom by 40 if not earlier.
But TLC teases that Shaeeda may receive bad news about her fertility … which could make any such agreement
We’re sure that there will be more to their story.
Apparently, Shaeeda has signed on for an entire lifetime of lectures and scolding from a man with serious control issues.
Bilal is not the worst man on the series (or even this season), but his behavior alarmed many viewers.
Maybe Shaeeda is so head-over-heels in love that she is looking past Bilal’s character flaws.
It’s possible that the show edited out so many positive moments that it left us little else but lectures.
Or maybe Bilal’s manipulative personality has done a number on Shaeeda, and she thinks that his actions are no big deal.
Bilal and Shaeeda will be among other cast members, including some of the most infamous in the franchise.
Big Ed Brown and Angela Deem are two of the most repulsive villains that TLC has ever offered up.
Compared to them, Bilal and Shaeeda could end up surprising us with a relatively nice storyline.
Then again, with a backdrop like Ed and Angie, anyone could seem nice and pleasant.
Say what you will about Bilal and his obvious control issues, but he’s not screaming, yelling, or cursing. He’s also not a predator.
Season 7 sure will be a sight to behold.
