Bobby Flay and Brooke Williamson aren’t planning on getting hitched anytime soon… or possibly ever! But that doesn’t mean he can’t spoil his lady!
The Beat Bobby Flay star sparked engagement rumors with Brooke, a fellow chef, in October when he shared a pic on his Instagram of a MASSIVE diamond ring on her finger. See (below):
Not exactly the right finger, but fans started theorizing anyway.

At the time, an insider told People the piece of jewelry “was a gift from Bobby” and that the couple, who started dating earlier this year, are over the moon with each other:
“I’ve never seen them happier and they are fully committed to one another.”
So sweet! But the question remained: was it an engagement ring?? Now, Bobby has answers!
During a recent appearance on the Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, the 60-year-old was met with questions about the flashy gem. Duran joked:
“She was wearing a diamond the size of my head!”
However, Bobby clarified the significance of it once and for all:
“It’s a commitment ring. I’m not engaged.”
He continued:
“We both don’t want to get married again. It’s okay. So, like, it’s great having a life partner. And so I wanted to give her something significant to make her feel committed. That’s all.”
Awww! That’s lovely!
Duran pointed out Bobby has “a beautiful, beautiful family,” including 29-year-old daughter Sophie Flay, who was present for the interview. Bobby responded:
“Yes, I do, but Brooke also has a 17-year-old son. It’s all coming together like The Brady Bunch.”

Bobby welcomed Sophie with ex-wife Kate Connelly, while the 47-year-old welcomed her son Hudson with ex-husband Nick Roberts.
Last month, Brooke gushed about her man while talking about the sparkler on her finger. At the New York City Wine & Food Festival, she told People there wasn’t “a huge story behind” the ring — beyond Bobby’s “romantic” flair:
“[Bobby is] a very generous, wonderful, romantic man and it was a really thoughtful gift, and that’s what it is.”
They seem so happy together!
