Just days before her tragic death, Catherine O’Hara wasn’t able to film her Apple TV+ show.
As we’re sure you’ve seen, the beloved actress sadly passed away at 71 on Friday after she was said to have been suffering from breathing problems that sent her to the hospital. Heartbreakingly, she wasn’t able to pull through after this medical emergency, and hours later.
According to a source for The US Sun, her show The Studio’s season two was beginning early filming last week, and she was going to be appearing in a few scenes. But she ended up having to cancel due to “personal matters”:
“She was scheduled to film, but they reworked the schedule to focus on scenes without her character.”

Per the insider, it was “not widely known she was dealing with any health or major issues” — so her death came as a huge shock even to those who were working so closely with her. The source said:
“Her death comes as a total shock to everyone on the show. She was the most beloved person on the set. This is a huge loss not just for The Studio, but for the world in general. She’s a legend.”
So sad.
The source said they believe Catherine didn’t get to film ANY scenes for the show, so fans won’t be seeing Patty in season two. Heartbreaking.
May Catherine rest in peace.
