The 28-year-old Mexican superstar and Élite alum sang the Mexican national anthem before the super middleweight title fight between Canelo Alvarez and Jermell Charlo at T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night (September 30) 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Last night I overcame one of my biggest fears, I learned a great lesson and I never thought that the time would come to sing the Mexican National Anthem, and the time came,” Danna wrote in Spanish on her Instagram after the performance, which won her lots of praise on social media.

“The pressure, responsibility, nerves, the difficulty of it and doubts about myself rejecting it for years…afraid of what they will say, to be wrong, nothing more to think about the anxiety of the moment did not let me sleep, I was getting a knot in my stomach, and I take a lot courage to accept that this opportunity came at the perfect time, and it was a whole process, of trust, of security, of preparation… connection and it was an act of pure love… AND I DID IT!!!!! 😭 🖤” she continued.

“I did it, I’m very proud that I’ve made it I’m still processing how shocking it is to be there, wowwww ♥️ THANK YOU!! ♥️ THANK YOU @canelo for letting me join you, for your support, for representing the country together with all of us who were there, for giving everything of you! CHAMPION WON…MEXICO WON, WE WON!!! ⭐️ I take tonight as one of the best moments of my life. THANK YOU LIFE 🖤 !! ‘Fears don’t go away, until you scare them.’”

“Thank you very much 🙏🏻 and congratulations you did it very well,” Canelo wrote in response in Spanish.
